There will be no garbage or recycling
collection on Victoria Day Monday, May
18th, 2015. Collection of garbage and
recycling services will be Tuesday on May
19th, 2015.

Tender for Audit Services
For the provision of audit services which
includes the examination of records
and preparation of Financial Statements
and Financial Information Return for the
Town of Carleton Place commencing with
the 2015 fiscal year ending December
31, 2015. Firms must hold a valid Public
Accountants License issued under the
Public Accountancy Act.
Copies of the request for proposal of audit
services along with a copy of Financial
Statements and Financial Information
Return for 2014 will be available for pickup
at the Town Hall located at 175 Bridge St.,
Carleton Place, Ontario K7C 2V8. Request
for proposals will be mailed or e-mailed to
those requesting a copy.
Completed Proposals must be received
by 12 noon on Monday June 8, 2015 and

2015 INTERIM TAX BILL – DUE
MAY 28TH, 2015
Payment by Mail – Remove the stub from
your tax billing, attach it to your cheque
and mail it to the Town of Carleton Place,
175 Bridge Street, Carleton Place, Ontario,
K7C 2V8.
In Person – The Tax Office, in the Town
Hall, is open for collection of taxes from
Monday to Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30
p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Payment after hours may be deposited in
the payment box in the foyer at the Police
Station.
If payment is made by mail or after the
office hours, and you require a receipt,
please include the complete bill with your
cheque. The bill will be receipted and
returned to you by mail.
Payment accepted at most financial
institutions. For more information or

Notice to Residents – Water
Tower Maintenance & Lawn
Watering Restrictions
The Carleton Place Public Works
Department would like to inform the
residents that maintenance activities to
the water tower will resume on Tuesday
May 12th and will last several weeks.
These activities require the water tower
to be drained significantly. Therefore, the
Carleton Place Public Works Department
and By-law Enforcement Department
would like to stress to residents of the
importance for residents to diligently
follow the Lawn Watering By-Law.
The Town of Carleton Place has restrictions
when residents can water their lawns. This
By-Law regulates the consumption and
use of water from May 1st to September
30th, the following regulations apply:
• No person using the Town of Carleton
Place water supply system shall water

• Residents occupying an evennumbered address may water on evennumbered calendar days only. • Residents occupying an oddnumbered address may water on oddnumbered calendar days only. • Watering is allowed only between
the hours of 5:00 am and 9:00 am, and
between the hours of 7:00 pm and 11:00
pm. • The only exception is if a significant
amount of new grass or sod is installed,
and in this case a one week period of
watering is allowed from the initial date of
installation.
• A fine may be issued to anyone not
following these rules. Should you have any questions regarding
the Lawn Watering By-law, please review
the by-law on our website or by contacting
