FLASHBACK:
PARTICIPANTS COMMENT ON CCSF
OPENS
The most fantastic tournament in Africa.
– Mohammed Toure [Niger Republic
Athlete]
It is a wonderful tournament that provides
a platform for most athletes to match
themselves with athletes from within and
outside Nigeria as most athletes are not
privileged to travel for International
Championship. “If Moses cannot go to the
mountain, CCSF actually brings the
mountain to Moses.” – Orobor Ernest [ExNational Middle Weight Champion, 2007 All
African Games Competitor, 2012 CCSF Silver
Medallist]
CCSF International championship Open has
been the best championship and I confess it
is perfect for Nigerian athletes. – Nwosu
Chinazum [National Bantam Weight
Champion, 2013 CCSF Bantam Weight Gold
Medallist]
It is one of a kind, it’s of international
standard. It is an avenue for Nigerian
athletes who cannot sponsor themselves to
nearby countries to meet their counterparts
from other countries.
– Esuku Josephine [2014 Commonwealth
Gold Medallist]

Mr Anafulu, a former

Nigeria] to pay the kids a visit during a training session on 4th November 2014. He was
visibly surprised by the number and passion of students involved in the program. “This is
the right way to go about discovering and building up future champions, and I am
extremely pleased about what I have witnessed today” a delighted Anafulu exclaimed.

The students have loved every minute of the Taekwondo classes, because of its fun-filled interactive program. Not only do
they get to break the monotony of the long classroom routine, they also get to personally interact with Africa’s three-time
Taekwondo Olympian, Chika Chukwumerije without any restrictions. CCSF plans to organize more of these interactive
sessions between the students and national sport celebrities/mentors who can make a lifetime inspirational impact on
these young ones.

- Dickson Adoga [Vice-Captain, TEAM CCSF]
U
p until this year, I did
not realize how
powerful a tool Sports was in
changing one’s perception
about life, but my contact
with CCSF has really
redefined the way I look at
sports. Sports is such a
wonderful way to unite
young people and help give
direction at a time when one
is uncertain. The best thing
that happened to me in
2014 was getting to know
about CCSF and getting a
slot on the TEAM. Since I
began taking part in CCSF
activities, I have made a lot
more friends, gotten fitter,
gained so much knowledge
and I feel really confident
now about being able to take
on whatever challenges the
future has in store for me.
basketball to volleyball to
table tennis to computer

of activities done to engage
young people is endless.
What makes it even more
amazing is it is all free. I have
way of making us believe we
are the best, and gives a lot of
emphasis to helping us
develop soft skills and every
area of our lives. This has
helped our confidence so
much.
