2 skill level free SUPPLIES & TOOLS: • Legacy Studio™ Tiffany Collection fabrics: 1/4 yd each, Chevron Green, Chevron Purple • 21⁄2 yds Steam-a-Seam® iron-on fusible web • 3 sheets cardstock • 8 green beads, 1/2" for head • 28 marbleized beads, 1/2" for body • 1 pkg 3mm black chenille stems • 1 pkg black pony beads • Iron & ironing surface • Scissors • Awl • Wire cutters • Needle-nose pliers • String • 12" brass ring DIRECTIONS: BUTTERFLIES: 1. Following manufacturer’s instructions, use Steam-a-Seam® iron-on fusible web to fuse the 2 pieces of fabric together with cardstock sandwiched between. 2. Cut out 4 upper and 4 lower wings. 3. Fold wings in half crosswise. Use awl to punch a hole through all layers in the middle. 4. Cut 4 pieces of 41⁄2" lengths of chenille stem. Wrap each end around a pony bead to create antennae. Fold in half. Set aside. 5. Using pliers, roll up 1 end of new chenille stem. Slide on head bead. 6. Place antennae snugly against head and cross over antenna to secure. 7. Continue with one body bead, upper wing with fold down, another body bead, lower wing with fold up, 1 last body bead, ending with a pony bead. 8. Push beads together tightly. Use pliers to roll up end of chenille stem. Trim excess with wire cutters. 9. Tie string to butterfly between upper wing and second bead. Cut to length. 10. Tie to brass ring, chandelier or curtain rod. DRAGONFLIES: 1. Repeat steps 1 and 2 above for Dragonfly Wings. tiffany butterfly & dragonfly mobile 2. Punch a hole in center of wings. 3. Using pliers, roll up 1 end of new chenille stem. Slide on head bead. 4. Continue with a pony bead, upper wing, pony bead lower wing, 2 pony beads and 4 body beads. 5. Push beads together tightly. Use pliers to roll up end of chenille stem. Trim excess with wire cutters. 6. Tie short string to dragonfly going across upper wing and lower wing.
