MB’s Linus Split Star Quilt Block DIRECTIONS 1. Sew together three 4-Patch blocks to form the block side sashing. Notice how the seams perfectly interlock and you can spin the seams to make the centers flat. Sew this piece to the block. 1 2 Sew together four 4-Patch blocks to form the bottom block sashing. Sew this piece to the block. 2. Sew the 12 blocks together. 1 Sew 12 4-Patch blocks together for the top border. Sew to the quilt. This fun quilt is made of simple blocks. Play with color as you make the Split Star Blocks and learn to “spin” the center of a 4-Patch block. The quilt finishes to 39” by 51” Finishing MATERIALS 12---9” finished Split Star blocks ( 9.5“ unfinished) 113---3” finished 4-Patch blocks (3.5“ unfinished) Sew 17 4-Patch blocks together for the side border. Sew to the quilt. 2 Sandwich, quilt and bind. Binding: 3/8 yd Cut 5---2.25” x 44’ - 45” strips. 44” x 56” batting and backing 1/4” seam allowances are used for all seams.
