CERBERUS COTTAGE FAMILY & FRIENDS Issue 3 Cerberus Cottage Crier Cerberus Cottage Family & Friends MARCH 2015 UPCOMMING EVENTS Autumn March 25 It seems autumn has well and truly settled in for the year! Guess it’s time to pull out those winter onesies again… don’t worry, we won’t tell. This month saw the return of our movie night with a wonderful turnout! We hope everyone enjoyed ‘The Lego Movie’ as much as we did. We are looking for suggestions for next month’s movie, at the moment ‘Frozen’ is in the lead. (Sorry!) Play group Easter Egg Hunt point. Keep a look out for an upcoming raffle for the fishing gear! In our next issue we will be commemorating th the 100 anniversary of the Gallipoli landing. This is an important time for our proud nation as we take time to remember the fallen, the wounded and those currently serving in peacekeeping operations. We look forward to another fun month with you all. Happy reading! March 28 Luna Park- Book in and come with us April 13 Coffee, cake & a chat 1030-1130 April 13 Our Coffee and chat Monday’s began as well and were some wonderfully relaxed mornings to meet other spouses. Committee Meeting 1200 Playgroup had a fantastic time at Rain Hayne and Shine farm, patting all kinds of animals and learning how to be gentle with little creatures. ANZAC Day April 25 This month Isabelle stepped down from President, and Krystyl took over the position. Thankyou and good luck to you both! Don’t forget our Luna Park trip! More details inside this issue. The fishing competition has regrettably been cancelled and will not be rescheduled at this Three little pigs:- Rain, Hayne and Shine farm CERBERUS COTTAGE FAMILY & FRIENDS | 2 CERBERUS COTTAGE FAMILY & FRIENDS From the President This month was full on for me, finally securing work and starting back at university saw my time cut short and so I had to make the difficult decision to step down from my position as President. On top of that, my Husband gets his first posting soon so we will be leaving Sunny Cerberus. Being a part of the Cottage has been an absolute pleasure for me and I have forged some very strong friendships with some amazing people who have truly shown me the resilience you need to be following a serving member around the country! Positions Available The positions soon to become vacant are; - General Committee members - Secretary - Vice President General Committee Members help to make decisions about the groups and events we run. Help us out at events when needed Secretary as well as helping as a general member you take the minutes at the monthly meeting Vice President also helps as a general member however takes over if the President is away, and also supports the president ensuring everyone knows their roles and responsibilities. Issue 3 The Cottage really was and is a sanity saver for me. Playgroup gave me time to sit with other bleary eyed mums who zombie shuffle in after yet another horrible night’s sleep. Plus Movie nights let my energetic 2yo go out and see a movie without us worrying about being shushed! There are a few positions which will need to be filled in order for the cottage to continue to provide the wonderful services they do, they are detailed below. So once again, thank-you everyone for making my time at Cerberus Cottage so much fun and I look forward to seeing what the Cottage gets up to in the coming months and years. Handing over to Krystyl now, good-luck and enjoy your time as president!
