May 2015
DCO National Families Day
What a great turn out. The atmosphere was amazing. We met
some new families, and found some new friends. The kids
and I must say adults had a fantastic time competing in Laser
Tag. Not only did we have a fun day we were served beautiful
pizza and drinks.
“We welcome all families,

ANZAC Day 2015
I have never seen a community run ANZAC Day like this. Thank you to the efforts of Anna for
her hard work putting together the poppy walk, which comprised of poppy's made by the children in our local community. The St Josephs and Balnarring primary school choirs came together and sang beautifully, throughout the service. 202 Café donate $1 per coffee sold to
the RSL. Thank you to everyone who made this day so special.

Why do we fundraise?
Each year we apply for a grant called Family Support Funding
Program though DCO. We outline what we want to achieve
as a community. This money pays for administration costs, as
well as goes towards furniture, course's, classes etc.
We also put a percentage in for the courses to make them
more affordable for you and your family. We do not get funding for our family days like Luna park. This comes out of our
fundraising efforts. We must also pay for utilities, lawn mowing and upkeep of the premises.
This is why we ask for volunteers for our fundraising events,
committee and general helpers. We are a small committee
who put many hours into sourcing new ideas,, meeting with
local groups in our community. Our coordinator and finance
administrator also volunteer their time to help raise much
needed money. We are here for everyone and we ask if you
