2015 China Summer Study Tour
Time: June 6 – June 20, 2015
Two Cities: Beijing and Xi’an
This study tour is co-organized by the Confucius Institute (CI) at the University of
Saskatchewan and Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT). Two weeks accommodation, meals
and local transportation will be covered by the CI Headquarters. Participants are responsible
for their own airfare (approximately $1100-$1400 round trip from Saskatoon to Beijing) and
personal expenses.

Visit the U of S partner Universities Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), Xi’an Jiaotong
University, and local elementary and high schools.
Enjoy the splendid view of China and taste authentic Chinese food.
Tour the Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City, and Terracotta Warriors Site.
Experience Chinese culture: water painting, Tai Chi, calligraphy, Chinese language
learning.
Priorities will be given to participants who studied non-credit Chinese class with the Confucius Institute.
Students who took credit Chinese class at the U of S will also be considered. Participants who do not have
Chinese learning experience need to attend a 20-hour pre-departure Chinese language and cultural
workshop ($200) in May.
