New City Arts and WVTF/RADIO IQ present Landscape and Weather, an exhibit by Elise Sokolowski in June at The WVTF and Radio IQ Studio Gallery. Elise Sokolowski is a photographer from Charlottesville, VA. After graduating last spring from the University of Virginia, she spent this past year as an Aunspaugh Fifth Year Fellow in the Studio Art department. Living and studying in her hometown, the work has centered on her family as she photographs the people and places she knows most intimately. Landscape and transition: her sister’s struggle with aging and Elise has had two solo received her BA in Studio an upcoming feature in forward, she plans to and pursue graduate studies in photography. Weather explores periods of adolescence and her father’s grief. As an undergraduate, shows at Ruffin Gallery, Art with distinction, and has UVA’s V magazine.
