TAPAS AND PAELLA Tapas /�tapəs/ noun: small Spanish savory dishes, typically served with wine or beer. Paella /pä�āyä, pə�elə/ noun: a Spanish dish of rice, saffron, chicken, seafood, etc., cooked and served in a large shallow pan. Tapas and Paella /�tapəs (ə)n/ pä�āyä,pə�elə/ noun: a food gathering at the Downtown Market in which guests mingle, eat, and learn about authentic Spanish cooking and techniques. ROLL YOUR OWN SUSHI The world of sushi making is fascinating and mysterious. Allow our chef to show you and your guests how to craft these beautiful and inspiring dishes. Whether you’re creating a classic roll or a signature roll, our chef will be there to assist you and show you tips and tricks to making these unique dishes an easy feat! BITES AND BOOZE At the Downtown Market, we like great food and great drinks. If you do too, this party is for you! With our chef’s guidance, you and your guests will create tasty small bites to enjoy. Then, our beverage staff will conduct a tasting of your choice —wine, beer, or cocktail flight that complements the flavors of the menu. HORS D’OUEVRES & DESSERTS Are you hosting a small gathering, shower, or party? Need a unique space to host your group and great food to serve? Look no further! Utilize our space as you host your group then join our chef as they create hors d’oeuvres & desserts with everyone’s participation. Want to relax instead? That’s ok! We can arrange to have all menu items made in advance and artfully presented for you and your guests. MARKET MENU WARS Perfect for a corporate teambuilding activity or a group of friends that are competitive in nature. Our twist on the popular cooking competition shows includes brainstorming time, an hour of food creation, and awards for best taste and presentation. Don’t worry; our staff will take care of the pantry needs, setup, and cleanup. They will even do a quick demonstration at the beginning of your party so your guests have some culinary knowledge to take home. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS SCHEDULING Our Education Event Coordinator will be happy to connect with you regarding timing and avalability. Please keep in mind that we typically book 4-6 weeks out for most private events in the teaching kitchen. CAPACITY We require a minimum of 10 guests to confirm an event and a maximum capacity of 30 guests for all private culinary parties. PRICE RANGE & MENU OPTIONS Our private parties range from $65-$85 per person and include the ingredients for a full menu, use of all equipment, chef instructor, sous chef for on-site assistance and clean-up, menu plan, recipes for participants to take home, and a meal for the group to enjoy. DIETARY RESTRICTIONS We can accommodate any dietary restrictions, as long as they are provided to us at least two (2) weeks prior to the event. Custom menus may be available for an additional charge! BEVERAGE PARKING In addition to the Downtown Market paid parking lot, clients & guests may use onstreet parking and off-street parking areas, all located within a short walking distance of the Downtown Market. Guests have the option to select valet service contracted through Ellis Parking for an additional cost. All parking costs are an additional cost. DECORATION No nails, screws, staples or penetrating items shall be used. Any tape or gummed backing material must be properly removed, any wall damage will be deducted from the security deposit. Candles are acceptable as long as they are enclosed; open flame is prohibited. Glitter, confetti, sand, rice, birdseed, or any substance that causes litter or debris inside the facility or on the grounds is strictly prohibited. RENTAL FEES A 50% non-refundable deposit, along with a signed contract, is required to reserve the date and space. All remaining balances must be paid in full to the Downtown Market seven (7) days prior to the event date. TAX & SERVICE CHARGE All beverage is subject to applicable sales tax. CANCELLATION The Renter must notify the Downtown Market in writing or by email to request a cancellation. The 50% deposit required to reserve the event date and space will be forfeited. All beverage costs are separate from the menu and are an additional cost. Events will be subject to a $150 bartender-staffing fee for any beverage needs.
