to view and update their personal information, including their e-mail address (es).
Please note: your Business email address is used as the primary form of communication.

Logging into Employee Self Service – PeopleSoft
After successfully logging into the Workstation, the Internet Explorer browser
displays with the Employee Self Service (ESS) Website (http:/ESS.NYCHHC.ORG)
opened on one tab, and the GroupWise e-mail system opened on another tab.
1. Click on the Employee Self Service blue and white computer icon on the top
right corner, as shown below.
2. The sign-in page for PeopleSoft displays. Enter your User ID and Password in the
correct fields, as shown below.

NOTE: Your User name/User ID can be found on your paystubs. If you do not have a
Password, or do not remember your Password, please call the Enterprise Service
Desk at 1-877-934-8442 or email the ESD at EnterpriseServiceDesk@nychhc.org
with the Subject: ESS to get one.
3. After entering your log-in information, click the Sign In button, or press Enter on
the keyboard as shown below, to continue.

4. If this is your first time logging into PeopleSoft, you will be asked to Authenticate
your identity using the last four digits of your Social Security Number. Enter the last
four digits of your Social Security Number in the correct field and click Submit to
continue. Due to the sensitive nature of the information available, this is required
for all employees. NOTE: Employees will be asked to “re-authenticate” periodically.
If you failed to authenticate or cannot log in, please call the Help Desk at 1-877934-8442 or email them at EnterpriseServiceDesk@nychhc.org.
5. After successfully authenticating and logging into PeopleSoft, your Home page
displays as shown below.

Adding a New e-Mail Address
1. To view your Personal Information, click on the Blue tab labelled “My Personal
Information.”
1. The Personal Information Summary page displays with your current information.
Scroll down to the Email Addresses section. Click the Change email addresses
pushbutton.

2. The Email Addresses page displays with your current email address(es). Click the Add
Email Address pushbutton to add a new email address.
3. A new row appears under your current email address (Business Email Type). Select the
Email Type you are entering from the drop down menu, and enter the email address in
the Email Address field.
4. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 to add another email address.

5. Click the Save pushbutton to save the changes. [Click the Delete icon (trash can) to
remove the new email address].
6. The Save Confirmation page displays. Click the OK pushbutton to finish adding your
email address (es).

7. The Email Addresses page displays with the new email address(es) added. You may click
on the Return to Personal Information link to view the rest of your personal information.
You have successfully added a new e-mail address to your Personal Information
page via ESS!

Deleting an e-Mail Address
1. To view your Personal Information, click on the Blue tab labelled “My Personal

down to the Email Addresses section. Click the Change email addresses pushbutton.

3. The Email Addresses page displays with your current email address(es).
4. Click the Delete icon (trash can) for the email address you would like to remove
from your Personal Information page.
You cannot delete your Business/preferred email address.
Please note: your Business email address is used as the primary form of communication.

5. The Delete Confirmation page displays. Click the Yes - Delete pushbutton to delete the
selected email address. [Click the No – Do Not Delete pushbutton to cancel].
6. Repeat Steps 4 and 5 to delete additional email addresses.
7. The Email Addresses page displays. Click the Save pushbutton to save the deletion of the
email address(es).
8. The Save Confirmation page displays. Click the OK pushbutton to finish deleting the
email address(es).

9. The Email Addresses page displays with the changes; the deleted email address does not
display. You may click on the Return to Personal Information link to view the
rest of your personal information.
You have successfully deleted/removed an e-mail address from your Personal
Information page via ESS!

3. The Email Addresses page displays. Click the Email Address field of the Email Type you
would like to modify. Delete the email address inside the Email Address field, and type
in the new email address. Repeat this step to modify other Email Types.
You cannot modify your Business/preferred email address.

4. Click the Save pushbutton to save the email address change for the selected Email
Type(s).
5. The Save Confirmation page displays. Click the OK pushbutton to finish modifying the
selected Email Type(s).
