Barry
Welcome Booth at the Barry Thrift Shop. Food, crafts, and a
flea market downtown at Lafayette Park. Illinois Traditional
MusicJam Fest is held at Gates Repair & Machine, on Smith
St.,just off Hwy. 106. Music & food! Friday night, all day
Saturday, closes at noon on Sunday. Along with Lafayette Park,
the city offers Barry Pool Park, and the Redmon Community
Center (former Catholic Church) which is a new addition to the
city’s parks. At the Redmon Community Center, visitors will find
the YMCA, historical lighting, a new shelter house, grills, rest
rooms, a walking path, ballfield, and playground equipment.
Local attractions Include Collver Family Winery and the New
Philadelphia historic site. Be sure to check out the Barry Travel
Plaza, too!
Baylis
The sponsoring group for Baylis this year will again be the
Baylis Baptist Church on W. 2nd Street. The Welcome Booth
and stamping station will move there this year. Crafts, soups,
sandwiches, and all sorts of homemade pies and baked goods.
Detroit
Welcome Booth. Civil War display of Edwin McAllister, who
was the oldest living Civil War Veteran living in Pike County
when he died at 102 years old. Antique engine display, doll
collection (over 1,600). Large flea market and bake sale. Wildlife
display, arrowhead display. Breakfast is served, and lots of food
throughout the day.
Griggsville, Skinner House
Saturday only. History is on display here, with tours of the
Skinner House. Chicken and Noodles, Apple Dumplings will be
served Saturday only.
Griggsville
Held at the Western Illinois Fairgrounds along Route 107 on
the south side of Griggsville. You’ll find hand-made crafts,
jewelry, tools, clothing, flowers, blankets, statuary, scentsy,
shirts, toys, tupperware, flea market items, homemade jams
& jellies & pickles, books, and much more. Food items include
grilled pork chops, ribeyes, and BBQ. Enjoy some kettle corn,
pork rinds, corn dogs, and lemon shake ups, just to name a few.
Demonstrations, kids’ activities, petting zoo and a large antique
tractor show also held on site.
Hull
Hull Community Center (former school) offering, variety foods,
fish(buffalo & cat fillets), chili, sandwichs, homemade pie,
baked goods, howell family corndogs, lemon shakeups, funnel
cakes, variety of vendors, woodworking, crafts, IL Fallen Hero
Traveling Memorial Wall and All West Pike Reunion!
Kinderhook
The Kinderhook Historical Society/Museum has now settled into
a new building. It is located across the street from the unique
post office in downtown Kinderhook. Soups, sandwiches, and
pies available. Welcome booth downtown also. Yard sales will
be scattered throughout the community. Kinderhook means
“little children” and the good folks of Kinderhook invite all of
you who are children at heart to join them as they celebrate
their many years!
Milton
Look for the welcome booth in the historic bandstand in
the square! Then enjoy a delicious pork sandwich or award
winning BBQ brisket sandwich at the East PIke Fire Protection
District food stand. Sit awhile and watch Eagle Creek Carving
Company’s chainsaw carving demonstrations. Shop for Native
American crafts, Gifts in a Jar, crafts, antiques and collectibles.
Don’t forget to get some of the most delicious homemade pie
in Pike County, available by the slice, whole pies or in personal
mini pie size! Still hungry? Sample homemade pork rinds,
roasted pecans, walnuts and almonds, cotton candy, caramel
apples and kettle corn, homemade chicken and noodles and
blackberry cobbler. Try some cheese fries, fruit smoothies or a
coffee chiller. All that and much, much more in Milton!
Nebo
Throughout the weekend in Nebo there will be a petting zoo;
pony rides& hay scramble for the kids; flee market vendors,
fish sandwiches, homemade apple butter, roast your own
hotdog. On Sunday the Nebo Baptist Church will being hosting
special worship services in observance of their 150 years as a
congregation. Services start at 11:00 a.m. On Saturday only
the church will have a quilt show & demos, also homemade
breads, coffee, tea, & cider. Also live gospel/bluegrass music &
Anniversary cookbooks for sale. New Canton
Antiques and collectibles, flea market and yard sales throughout
the town. Bake Sale, large fish sandwiches.
New Hartford
Ackles Farm Market has been located in New Hartford since
1967. Unique specialty items, Amish chocolate, bulk candy,
pickles, salsas, apple butter, farm fresh eggs, Wisconsin cheese
and fresh vegetables. Bring the kids and let them visit our Castle
and Straw Maze.
New Salem
New Salem will have a knife making demonstration, antiques,
Honey bee products. Butterfly pork chops, homemade pies sold
by the slice or whole pies.
Pearl
The first town as you enter Pike County on Rt 100 will have
towels, crafts, flea market items and their annual collectible
post card (including past years). Fall produce, fish sandwiches,
chicken & noodles, chili, jams & jellies, apple butter, apple cider
and more.
Perry
At the Perry Fire House you can shop (rain or shine) for candles,
Christmas crafts, stoneware pottery, handmade duck decoys,
painted turkey feathers, hand painted ornaments and much
more. Be sure to visit the Dexter One room School House for
a tour. The 1878 Church of Christ (National Register of Historic
Places) will be open for tours. 1800s Log Cabin open too.
Pittsfield
Pittsfield’s activities center around the beautiful Pike County
Courthouse, over 100 years old. Stop by the Welcome Booth
where you can get a complete listing of all the vendors in
Pittsfield. Bill Beard will be doing cartoon portraits. Fall produce
will be available on the courthouse lawn, along with a variety
of craft and collectibles items. Bring your appetite to Pittsfield
and come early for breakfast, or join us for lunch. Some of our
vendors offer carry outs as well. Pittsfield boasts many Lincoln
sites and wayside exhibits. Country Fixins Primitives Craft &
Antique Mall (1 mile north of town on US 54) will be open all
weekend, with vendors inside and outside.
Pleasant Hill
Commodities: handmade wood items, wood items, t-shirts,
Longaberger Baskets, beaded & custom jewelry, art glass,
western apparel, sweatshirts, crotchet items, purses and
wallets, candies, cookies and much more. Food: Buffalo & Elk
sandwiches, pork chops, ribeyes, fish, barbecue ribs, pulled
pork, chicken and noodles, hamburgers, curly fries, gyros, greek
salads, nachos and cheese, jalapeno poppers, deep fried hot
dogs, and much more, jam and jellies, apples, honey display,
funnel cakes, homemade ice cream, Amish products and
lemonade shake ups.
Summer Hill
Downtown Summer Hill has an antique & collectibles mall
with over 40 vendors in a late 1800s General Store. Activities in
the park, large garage sale. Town boasts a Post GAR Civil War
Memorial Statue and is home of the Clark 54 Drive-in movie
theater. Hopewell Winery is located one half mile west of
Summer Hill and will be offering wine and music both days.
Kozy Katz Antique Mall 1 mile west of Summer Hill offers
antiques and collectibles, outdoor flea market, and more.
Time
Time offers demonstrations by the Village Blacksmith, pottery
making & wool spinning, horse & buggy rides. Crafts, t-Shirts,
sweatshirts, duck calls, jewelry, candles & glass etching. At
Time you can roast your own hotdog, have a bowl of chicken
n’ noodles, apple dumplings, porkburgers, hamburgers, fried
pickles & candy bars, ham & beans, homemade pies, roasted
nuts & much more. You are welcome to our Church Service at
9:00 a.m. on Sunday.

The friendly folks at Fishhook will make your country outing an
enjoyable one. You will find a flea market, antiques, collectibles,
homemade candy, baked goods and many food items. At the
Methodist Church there will also be a Maytag Bubble Machine
and a display of antiques. See you at The End of the Line!

The historic village established in 1836, has much to offer. All
activities and vendors are located in and around the Old General
Store, so they’re open rain or shine. Antiques, collectables, flea
market, furniture, books, scale model tractors and implements,
chainsaw carvings, handcrafted table runners, placemats,
bracelets, note cards, 15” & 18” doll clothing, hand crafted wood
furniture, etc. by B C Country Carpentry, pumpkins squash and
gourds, Christmas arrangements and homemade salsas and
relishes. Food includes homemade chicken and noodles, brats,
kettle corn, barbequed pork and ribs, biscuits and gravy. Live
music and Church services at El Dara Christian Church at 10:30
am Sunday. We hope you stop by to visit awhile.
Great food is one of the highlights of Color Drive Weekend. Many visitors and residents refer to the event as “eat your
way across Pike County.” In our participating towns and other stops you will find everything—from pork, beef, and
fish, to chicken and noodles, baked goods, hot dogs, BBQ, chili, beverages, and other unique food items.
