E-Newsletter April 2015 Reducing environmental impact and taking a sustainable approach is high on the agenda of most businesses, including those in the city of Nottingham. Nottingham already has a good track record of sustainability, not least earning the title of England's least car-dependent city according to a report by the Campaign for Better Transport last year. The University of Nottingham ranked number one in a list of the most sustainable universities in the world, and gateway to East Midlands Airport, one of the most sustainable airports in the world was the winner of the Green Footprint Award for its sustainable design in 2012. Nottingham is a city synonymous with green - not only as the colour of Robin Hood's hosiery, but as it is fast becoming a destination of choice for sustainable conferencing. Taking place in August, the event will provide a forum for the exchange of the latest technical information and focuses will include new developments in the area of sustainable energy as well as helping to shape future directions. Find out more. CASINO RAISING ITS GAME LET'S MEET... FAYE ROLLINSON In 2014 Alea Casino became completely carbonneutral after planting more than 15,000 trees and installing LED lighting.
