VPN for Mac OS X Snow Leopard and (Mountain) Lion (23-8-2012) 1 This document describes how to use VPN to connect to the TU Delft network. Note: in order to use VPN, your Mac should be connected to a wireless or wired network. 1 Go to System Preferences (from the Apple-menu or in the Dock) -Select Network -Click on the + key, this screen appears ----> Select VPN , the next screen appears 2 Select the following: -Interface:! ! VPN -VPN Type:! ! Cisco IPSec -Service Name:! VPN (TU Delft) Click Create, a new network service appears 3 Select the just created VPN (TU Delft) and fill in: -Server Address:! -Account Name:! ! ! ! luchtbrug.tudelft.nl Your_netid@tudelft.nl (@tudelft.nl is essential!) Click Authentication Settings, the next screen appears 4 fill in Machine Authentication: -Shared Secret:! wireless -Group Name:! public Click OK, you’ll go back in the Network-screen. It might be handy to check Show VPN status in menu bar then you can connect to the VPN from the menu-bar. -Click Apply 5 Select VPN (TU Delft) and click Connect (or select it from the menu-bar) a VPN-Connection Screen appears. Fill it in: -Account Name:! ! ! ! -Password:! ! your_netid@tudelft.nl (@tudelft.nl is essential!) your_NetID-password Click OK Now your Mac is connected to TU Delft with VPN. Note: when you use VPN at work, you’ll lose the connection with your network-home-folder.
