SAVE THE DATE!
A Message From Your PTA President…
Dear Hunter’s Green Families,
I am so excited that our PTA is gearing up for
a great second half of the school year. We love to
have fun, free events for our families to attend. It is
your support at restaurant nights or donations back
from business partners that help us provide these to
everyone. One of the most fun nights in the spring is
PANTHER JAMZ. Our teachers are amazing rock stars
and they can not wait to show their stuff in the teacher
show this year. Please save the date of Friday, April 10th
for a night of dancing, DJs, singing, prizes and awesome
food trucks: Big Bang BBQ, FishinChicken and KONA Ice
trucks are planned. Best of all we have our “Kids Rule the
School Raffle.” Students can buy a raffle ticket to possibly
win being teacher or administrator for the day. They may
win their own class or try to win a past favorite teacher’s
class. In addition, we will be raffling and auctioning off
exciting prizes. Please consider making a donation to the
Panther Pat’s Prize Packs. Your business could be represented as part of a donation for our prize give-away or as
an independent auction item. If you can support the
school in this way, please contact Yasmeen Neuman at
yasmeenneuman@yahoo.com or drop off your donation in
the front office. PTA is working on some really great prizes this year so you are going to want to be there to win!
Don’t be left out. Worker bees are needed to help with the
event. If you are interested in helping in any way please
contact Bekki at bekkidiem@gmail.com and she will be in
touch about the tasks at hand.
A second free fun family night in April is MOSI
Science Night on April 22. The PTA reserves the Kids in
Charge area of MOSI for our students to visit and explore.
Please mark your calendar to come out and enjoy the
night with your family.
PTA is in the process of collecting and reviewing
Mini Teacher Grants. The teachers submit grants for
things they feel could benefit their classroom or grade level. We budget $2,000 for the grants and will award the
grants as the month of March closes. We love meeting the
needs of our teachers.
I am on our campus all day-every day and I am
always at a loss for words for how many helping hands
touch the lives of the children that go to our special
school; teachers, administrators, parents, volunteers. If
you don’t know yet, I want to share, we have a really good
thing here at HGE and we are so lucky to share these years
together. Thank you TEAM at HGE!
Sincerely,
Vickie Lombardi

Character Corner
Every month we highlight one special character trait we
would like our students to exhibit during their school day.
We encourage you to take a moment and discuss these traits
with your child(ren) and how these traits relate to home,
school, and community. March’s character trait is:

Creativity
What is creativity? Using your imagination to do
something unique!
 Creativity is an ability to imagine something
different.
 Creativity is an attitude of willingness to
accept change.
 Creativity is a process of continually
refining ideas.
Remember, what you create doesn’t have to be
perfect, just yours!

This Year’s Theme is ...March Madness!
There will be sports themed centers around the store.
There will also be a service project table collecting
sports toys (i.e. Nerf footballs, baseballs, jump ropes,
etc.) to donate to a local charity.
Bottom-line: I can dream and imagine!
