Dr. Syed Nomanul Haq is currently Professor of
the Social Sciences and Liberal Arts Programme,
and advisor
dvisor of the program, at the Institute of
Business Administration (IBA) Karachi, Pakistan.
Having studied at University College London and at
Harvard University,, he has served as a standing
faculty member at Brown University and at the
University of Pennsylvania, both Ivy League
institutions. General Editor of Studies in Islamic
Philosophy series of Oxford University Press, Dr.
Haq recently shared the prestigious Waldo Leland
Prize of the American Historical Association for his
work in the New Cambridge History of Islam.
Islam His
writings have appeared in some of the world’s top
journals; among his publishers are Harvard
University Press, Brill, Blackwell, and Cambridge
Cambridg University Press.
