Phone: (502) 352-7082 josephinesculpturepark.org Board of Directors: Andrew Marsh Chair William Duvall Park Manager Carol Baughman Secretary Jennifer Oberlin Treasurer Art VanHouten III Melanie VanHouten Staff: Thanks to YOU, 2014 was a whirlwind of creative activity. We hosted many artists in residence & installed five new art works at JSP. In addition, we installed a fourth sculpture at the Kentucky Employees Credit Union (KECU) as part of our Outdoor Satellite Gallery Program. Thanks to Harrod Concrete, we are expanding this program and will be installing several new sculptures around Frankfort over the next few years. The first installation will be on the grounds of Franklin County Tourism at the corner of Second St. and Capital Ave. We conducted free Kids Make Art workshops which were sponsored by the Kentucky Foundation for Women & Toyota Motor Manufacturing of Kentucky. In June, audiences were astounded by our fourth annual theatrical production of Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale on the JSP SummerStage, sponsored by KECU. We were told by many that it was our “BEST one yet!” We held our fifth Annual Fall Arts Festival in September, complete with local live music on the stage throughout the day, hot metal sculptures created by you, glass blowing, printmaking, kids art activities, tours, bubbles & several new community partners including The Living Arts & Science Center, Salato Wildlife Center, Full Circle Studio & Gallery, Bluegrass Theatre Guild & the Franklin County Humane Society to name just a few! That day, many of you participated in the creation of a new community sculpture initiated by Latitude Artist Community. This “message in a bottle” project will be completed and installed at JSP next spring, so plan to come back and see it!! How to Get Involved: Today, we are asking for your continued support of Josephine Sculpture Park as we plan our most action-packed year yet!
