EMOTIONAL HEALTH QUOTIENT
Below is a summary piece of my EQ test I took through a consulting company in Spring 2010:
Profiling Perspective: Book & Stein, in their book EQ Edge, included a summary of EQ profiles, using the BarOn
EQ-i. They looked at over 30 professions and asked, “Of the 15 competencies, which ones are critically needed if
one is to be successful?” Then they listed the top 5 in order of importance. Below is a summary of their findings for
overall success (in any field of work) and the 5 competencies needed by clergy. I have compared your results with
these two profiles.
Overall Success 1. Self-‐ Actualization 2. Optimism 3. Stress Tolerance 4. Happiness 5. Assertiveness Personal Comparison 1. Strength 2. Strength 3. Healthy 4. Strength 5. Healthy TEACHING
