Thank you so much for your wonderful financial support and your prayer support of us. God is at work in answer to your prayers! Ivan, the most recent Solas intern in Slovakia, along with his pastor Ben, organized their first Solas outreach Quench event. Slovakia recently held a referendum on same-sex marriage. This was a fantastic beginning as the church took the gospel to the streets (a gay bar), and communicated its truth in a culturally appropriate way. Please keep praying for Ivan and Ben as they spearhead this ministry. The Spanish translation of The God Question series is moving forward. Ask the Lord to use this excellent series in a powerful way to reach many Spaniards (and Latinos) with the Gospel. Tom has been asked to preach in a church in Campbeltown on the west coast of Scotland on May 3. Leaders in this church came to the SolasConnect training week and are now interested in the possibility of a Solas intern working in their midst. Pray that we will know God’s will clearly regarding the right person for this opportunity. Tom, will be attending the annual Europe Leadership Forum from May 29 to June 4 in Wisla, Poland. He will be assisting in conducting an abbreviated Solas-Connect training for two groups of Polish pastors. Pray that God will orchestrate the planning and details, enabling these Polish leaders to be better equipped to communicate the gospel effectively in their own culture. Kianga Crafts There will be a jewelry making workshop this Saturday, April 18 from 9:30am -12:30pm here at NLD. Use our interesting African beads and tools to learn some basic techniques for making earrings or share what you already know with others. Bring your own jewelry-making tools, if you have them. *Donate what you make to Kianga Crafts be sold to benefit children’s healthcare in Kenya or * Buy a pair of earrings you make for $12 or make 4 pairs of earrings for Kianga Crafts and then you can make a pair for yourself to keep! Prayer of Belief: Lord Jesus Christ, I admit that I am weaker and more sinful than I ever before believed, but, through you, I am more loved and accepted than I ever dared hope. I thank you for paying my debt, bearing my punishment and offering forgiveness. I turn from my sins and receive you as Savior. Amen. Bring a daughter, a friend or a neighbor. Have fun and help promote Kianga Kids ministry. RSVP to Lois Carr (loisecarr@gmail.com ) so she can bring enough supplies.
