Think on this…By Sub-Deacon Alex
Every Wednesday morning during Easter season
Maronites around the world pray,
"You are our life, and death is a help to us;"
While this shocked me at first, I realized it echoes
Paul's letter to the Philippians 1:2, "for to me to live is
Christ, and to die is gain." Because of Jesus death is
nothing to fear if our life is lived for God. The prayer
continues, "for you we live and die until we enter the
life which never ends, when we shall glorify and praise
you, forever. Amen." We die to sin daily that we may
live for Christ daily. Both our living and our dying are
to be steps toward Him. Christ has given us His life
and love and died for us, by His grace we ought to live
and die.
ABOUT MOTHER’S DAY
MAY 10
At both Liturgies, Father will present his gift
to all our Moms.
Before both Liturgies, Father Bill wants to
invite all Mom’s, all Families, and everyone
near and far to come together to pray a special
Rosary for all our families and their special
intentions.
Before the first Mass, Rosary begins at 8:00 am.
Before the 2nd Mass, Rosary begins at 10:30 am.
Please come early before the Liturgy so we
can pray this special Rosary together.
After both Liturgies, All Mom’s will be served
refreshments & coffee, tea or hot chocolate at
their tables to honor you in a special way. All
other guests are invited to serve themselves.
