“I have other sheep that do not belong to this
fold. These also I must lead, and they will
hear my voice, and there will be one flock,
one shepherd. This is why the Father loves
me, because I lay down my life in order to
take it up again.” - Jn 10:16-17

A Family Perspective by Bud Ozar
Today’s gospel is a job description for Christian parents. For most people the most influential shepherds in their lives are their PARENTS. Every parent is called to be a “good
shepherd” to “freely lay down their life” for
their children, to “love” and “know” their
children and to “lead” them so “they know
your voice.”
Marriage Moments
Favor your beloved. Call to mind a recent favor your spouse
has done for you. Think of a treat you can offer your beloved
today.
Parenting Pointers
“A good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” A good
parent is like a good shepherd. We spend our time, money, and
worries on our children. In essence, we lay down our lives for
their good. Remember that you as a parent also have The Good
Shepherd who cares for you in the same way.

God doesn't ask you to understand, comprehend, or figure it all out...He just asks
us to Pray, Seek, and Trust.
Reminder: Youth Group will meet Tuesday, April 28th, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. If you are
in 6th grade and up and are interested,
please stop by. We meet year round three Tuesdays a month
with the first Tuesday off. The summer months bring fewer
meetings but they are still packed with fellowship, stewardship
and fun.
If you have old t-shirts, we are doing a service project for an
animal shelter. With your donated t-shirts we will make
braided chew toys for the dogs. Please bring your old stained,
torn, faded, unwanted t-shirts in a bag and bring them to
church. There will be a collection box by the women’s restroom next Saturday, May 2nd, for these donations. Thank you!
