USA Water Polo supports a national program of training and evaluation that can lead to
participation our national age group teams.

Introduction and development of the latest skills and training techniques from USA
Water Polo – skills necessary to succeed at all levels. You will learn an international
level of play that is an advantage at high levels of water polo whether that is high school
or collegiate water polo.
Fierce competition between zones and regions
Exposure to national team coaches through zone and regional coach’s evaluations.
National team coaches will attend at least one training/camp during the year.
Roadmap for player development through continued training and evaluation
Fun – you are working with the top athletes in your zone and competition is between
zone teams. These are athletes you will play with and against at tournaments, Junior
Olympics and College.
Not just field players, but specific goalie training. USA Water Polo’s national goalie
coach Sean Nolan provides training regimen for goalies and performs evaluations and
feedback in developing goalie specific skills

32 hours of ODP training over two weekends during winter and spring
Regional Tournament participation
If selected – invitation to National Team Selection camp
If selected - Made the National Team training squad & possible travel to tournaments
