It’s BACK!! It’s BIGGER!! It’s BETTER!!We believe that diversity is truly worth celebrating in a big way! The
4th annual Scarborough Afro Carib-Fest is back with even more exciting musical performances,
tastycuisines, dance workshops, cultural pageant, drum circle workshops, fashion show case, and lots of
prizes!
The Festival takes place rain or shine from 12:00 – 9:00 pm Saturday-Sunday, August 22 & 23 at Albert
Campbell Square, Scarborough Civic Centre (150 Borough Drive, Scarborough, ON) just 2 minutes from the

YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS OUT!! This year’s event will host over 8,000 guests of all ages and cultural
backgrounds from across Canada and internationally. Through this dynamic festival, HSDC celebrates
diversity, fosters civic pride, and pursues its mandate to bridge social, cultural and economic differences
with integrative learning opportunities and creative engagement. Proceeds from the festival contribute to
the success of vital HSDC capacity building and community development programs.
About the Scarborough Afro-Carib Fest
The festival was established in 2012 as a community event and has continued to grow each year,
welcoming over 20,000 guests throughout the 3 past years.Visitors and community memberscan join us to
celebrate the culture, history, arts, and cuisines of the African and Caribbean heritage. Guest enjoy
exciting entertainers, pageants, and demos while also learning about the diversity of Afro-Caribbean and
other ethnic cultures that are the fabric of Canada. The 2-day gathering is unique in its success at bridging
social, cultural and economic differences through sharing art, music, cuisine, dance, and experiences
diverse heritages.
This year’s event promises more exciting activities and entertainment including a show case of elaborate
Afro-Caribbean cultural costumes. The first everMr. and Ms. Afro-Carib Festwill be crowned at a pageant
featuring cultural attire and talent competition.As always, guests will enjoy a wide variety ofvendors and
exhibitors with arts, crafts, food,gifts, and more. There will be plenty of prizes and something for
everyone!
