Human Rights Arts and Film Festival 2015 VOLUNTEER

Human Rights Arts and Film Festival 2015
VOLUNTEER CALL OUT!
HRAFF - WHAT WE DO
HRAFF is a Melbourne-based, not-for-profit organisation devoted to the exploration and
promotion of human rights issues through their annual film and arts festival, as well as their
on-going school and community program. HRAFF selects arts and film that they know will
inform and engage people in human rights issues. The festival’s innovative and entertaining
program resonates with audiences, and encourages people to talk about their experiences.
Presenting the best films and artwork from around the world, the annual Human Rights Arts
& Film Festival (HRAFF) challenges, touches and inspires audiences from all walks of life.
HRAFF 2015 will be held in Melbourne from May 7th – 21th, before going on tour around
the country.
HRAFF FILM SCREENINGS AT ACMI
Throughout the course of the Festival, HRAFF will screen this year’s films at Australian
Centre for Moving Images (ACMI) in Federation Square from the 7th to the 22nd of May.
We will require numerous volunteers throughout this time to assist with Front of House
duties and ushering guests to their seats.
Requirements & Responsibilities:
We will require Volunteers with experience in the following roles:
 Ushers
 Front of House
 Crowd Controllers
 If you are passionate or interested in the Film & Arts, we want to hear from you
Volunteers will be asked to assist with duties such as seating guests, scanning tickets, and
welcoming & assisting guests with general inquiries!
In return for your help, Volunteers will receive a double pass for any standard HRAFF film
screening. As the festival goes on, Volunteers will also have the opportunity to watch films
that they are assisting with at the time, as well as being able to experience the events they
help run the along way.
But above all, the best thing you will get out of Volunteering at HRAFF is the experience
working hands-on with a company who have such incredible vision in their mission to shape
our culture, as well as the arts industry.
