HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE RYERSON TEST OF ENGLISH PROFICIENCY (RTEP) STEP 1: Activate your Ryerson Online Identity at www.ryerson.ca/accounts/ *Please Note: It may take up to 24 hours for activation of your Online Identity to occur. You will need your 9 digit Ryerson Number (that appears on any official communication from Undergraduate Admissions and Recruitment) in order to create your Online Identity. You will obtain a user ID and password. Please be sure to enter the first name you included in your application for admission along with the last name you indicated. If you included multiple first (given) names in your application, you must provide the first name before the first space. See below for examples. Example A Ngoc Phuong Anh Tran would indicate Ngoc in the First Name field on the Activation Screen and Tran in the Last Name field. Example B Sue- Anne Johnson would indicate Sue- in the First Name field on the Activation Screen and Johnson in the Last Name field (note the space after the hyphen). Example C Jennifer-Ann Smith would indicate Jennifer-Ann in the First Name field on the Activation Screen and Smith in the Last Name field. Example D Ra’D Baheru would indicate Ra’D in the First Name field on the Activation Screen and Baheru in the Last Name field. *If you have any questions or experience any problems activating your Ryerson Online Identity, please report this with an Activation Problem Form or call (416)979-5000 ext. 6840 for assistance. STEP 2: Log on to www.my.ryerson.ca for the English Proficiency Registration/ Submission system.   Use your user ID and password to access the English Proficiency Registration/ Submission system (see STEP 1) Click on the RAMSS tab STEP 3: Select "RTEP REGISTRATION" STEP 4: Select your RTEP TEST DATE  Note: We will usually have one or two active test dates on the system for you to choose from. STEP 5: Print and complete the RTEP Supplementary Identification Form and bring it with you on your test date as you will not be permitted to write the RTEP without this completed form.  Complete all sections of the 2 page form, excluding areas indicated “English Dept. use only”.  Affix a passport-sized photograph on the first page of the form where space is provided. HOW DO I CHANGE THE DATE OF MY RTEP?  You can change the date of your scheduled RTEP prior to your test date by selecting ‘Cancel Registration’ and then selecting another available RTEP test date. However, if your application for admission was cancelled because you were absent on your scheduled RTEP test date and you would like to schedule another test, you must complete the ‘Request for English Language Proficiency Test Reconsideration Form’.
