This method originally born to organize production system for large engineer-to-order ships is based on visual management tools and organizational structures that front-load issues and build a fast reacting attitudes within the organization. It does not include only shop floor management but also specific solution for engineering departments, quality, procurement, shipping and all the other phases involved in engineer to order products.
