your account secure
PC Protection
For even more protection you can add on the Vodafone Security –
PC Protection pack for a low monthly fee at any time by logging into
My Account. Choose either a one or a three user licence.
Anti-virus
Detects and stops malware that can attack computers. Viruses can
be received by email through removable media, or when content is
downloaded from the internet.
Anti-spyware
Detects and removes spyware from your computer.
Automatic virus and spyware definition updates
These help protect your computer from new threats. We would also
recommend that you install a firewall to protect your business systems
and information.
All our email accounts come with premium anti-spam and
anti-virus protection for free.
Emails
We will never ask for your username and password details via email.
If you do get an email that looks like it’s from us asking for these
details, we recommend that you delete it and under no circumstances
should you click on the link, reply to the email or provide any of the
requested details. If you receive a suspicious email, we recommend
you check www.consumeraffairs.co.nz for information on reported
scams or fraudulent emails.
This is how to pay for Easy Office
You can choose from a range of payment options. Please include
your customer name and customer number (up to a seven-digit
number located at the top of your bill) as a reference when paying
directly into Vodafone’s bank account.
Not using this reference could cause a delay with your payment, which
could result in your services being restricted. If you also have Vodafone
mobile services, these will be billed separately and will need to be paid
independently from your Easy Office account.
Direct debit
Payment will be taken automatically from your bank account on the due date unless we hear from you at least two working days prior.
To set up your direct debit, go to vodafone.co.nz/paying-your-bill to print the direct debit form. Please send the completed form to: Freepost 4357 Vodafone Fixed Line and Broadband Customer Payments Private Bag 92161 Victoria Street West Auckland 1142
Direct credit
You can make a payment directly from your bank account to Vodafone
by direct credit. Please ensure you make ONE payment for each billing
account.
Enter the following details to identify your account:
• Particulars: Your Vodafone customer account or company name
• Code: Your Vodafone fixed line and broadband customer number (up to seven digits located at the top of your fixed line and broadband bill - just digits, no letters)
• Reference: Leave blank
Internet banking
To set up a bill payment, select Vodafone fixed line and broadband
from your bank’s payee list (not Vodafone New Zealand Ltd as this is a
separate account for mobile phone customer bills). Enter the particulars
and code information referred to under the direct credit instructions.
Cheque
Please make your cheque payable to Vodafone New Zealand Limited and
send in the reusable envelope provided, along with your payment slip, to: Payment Processing Centre

Please make sure your account number is on the back of the cheque.
Credit card
We accept all major credit cards. You can use your credit card to make
one-off or variable online payments or schedule automatic monthly
payments to your Vodafone bill. Just log in to My Account and select the
business fixed line section.
New Zealand Post
You can pay over the counter at any New Zealand post shop. Just take
your payment slip into your nearest outlet to pay by cash or electronic
payment. Please allow a minimum of two working days for this payment
to be processed.
Payment date
Payment for all Vodafone fixed line and broadband accounts is required by the 25th of each month. Please visit vodafone.co.nz/paying-your-bill for more information on billing options.

How to set up Easy Office
Your Easy Office package
Easy Office covers your landline, broadband and national calling
needs in one simple package. A fixed monthly bill covers the cost.
This is how to set up the call
features on your calling lines
Recording your greeting
Your greeting can be up to two minutes long. You can choose our standard
greeting or record your own, and change it as often as you like from the main menu.
• Dial 099476000 or *62 to access the main menu
Vodafone Easy Offic includes
• 2 calling lines
Follow the instructions below to add or remove the calling features included
in your Easy Office plan. These features can only be activated on calling lines
and you will need a compatible phone to use them.

Voicemail
• Press 2 for Busy Greeting Menu
• 15GB broadband data
When you are busy and can’t get to the phone, let voicemail take a message
for you. To retrieve your messages, either dial 099476000 or *61. Your Easy
Office modem has a light that will flash to let you know that you have a new
voicemail message.

• Dial 099476000 or *62 to access the main menu
• 5 call features on each calling line including voicemail, call waiting, call diversion, call transfer and business caller display
• Web services including a New Zealand domain name, 30 MB webspace and 10 Vodafone email addresses

Recording your mailbox name
• Dial 099476000 or press *61 to access your mailbox
• Enter your 4 digit PIN number and then press #

• Enter the temporary 4 digit PIN number from your service activation
email and then press #
• Press 3 to access your mailbox name option

• When prompted enter a new 4 digit PIN number and then press #

• Additional 15GB broadband data
• Follow the voice prompts to set up your mailbox
These add-ons or additional service line features can be added to your account at any stage. Just call 0800 400 888.

• Enter your area code (with or without the 0) and your telephone number,
e.g. 09123 4567
• Enter the temporary 4 digit PIN number and then press #
• When prompted enter a new 4 digit PIN number and then press #
• Follow the voice prompts to set up your mailbox
Choosing your PIN
You can change your PIN at any time. It must be four digits and can’t be the last
four digits of your phone number.
Changing the number of rings before voicemail activates
• Press *610 and follow the voice prompts
• When prompted set the number of rings you want before your phone
diverts to voicemail (between 2 and 20 rings)
• The system will confirm the number of rings you have entered
• End the call
Accessing your messages from your own phone
• Dial 099476000 or dial *61 to access your mailbox
• Enter your PIN number followed by #
• Press 1 to listen to your messages
• Dial 099476000 or *62 to access the main menu
Accessing your messages from any other phone
• Enter your 4 digit PIN number and then press #
• Dial 099476000 to access the main menu
• Press 8 to change PIN number
• Enter your area code (with or without the 0) and your telephone number,
e.g. 09123 4567
• Enter a new PIN followed by the # key. You will be required to confirm
your new PIN
• When prompted, re-enter your new PIN and press #
• Enter your 4 digit PIN number and then press #
• Press 1 for Voice Messaging Menu
• Press 1 to listen to your messages

Accessing your voicemail from overseas
Activating a diversion from your phone
If you’re calling from overseas
Dial 00 64 9 9476000 and follow the normal steps to access your voicemail.
International calling charges apply.
• Lift the handset and wait for the dial tone
Dial 0064 9 947 6000 and follow the above call diversion steps. International
calling charges apply.
Cancelling calls forwarded to voicemail
Lift the handset and wait for the dial tone, then use one of the following
access codes to deactivate your chosen voicemail service. Hang up when
you are finished.
• Call forwarding to voicemail: always #21
• Call forwarding to voicemail: when busy #40
• Call forwarding to voicemail: when no answer #41
Reactivating calls forwarded to voicemail
Lift the handset and wait for the dial tone, then enter one of the following
access codes to activate your chosen voicemail service. Hang up when you
are finished.
• Call forwarding to voicemail: always *21
• Call forwarding to voicemail: when busy *40
• Call forwarding to voicemail: when no answer *41
Call waiting
• Dial the assigned access code for the type of call diversion you wish
to activate (see the list below)
• Enter the phone number to which calls will be forwarded
• The voice prompt will confirm it has been activated
If you divert to a number that incurs a charge or is outside of your calling plan,
you as the bill payer will be responsible for payment of the calls.
Access codes to activate:
Call transfer
• Call diversion: always – all calls to your phone go straight to the
alternative number you want your calls diverted to *72
• Call diversion: when busy – when your phone is busy calls are diverted to
an alternative number *90
This feature lets you relocate an existing call to another phone or extension.
When the call is connected, press the ‘Flash’ button to put the call on hold.
Dial the second number and, once connected, press ‘Flash’, then press the
4 key. The person you called originally should then be connected to the
third party and your line disconnected.
• Call diversion: when no answer – your phone will ring 8 times before a
message advises the caller they’ll be put through to the alternative number *92
Business caller display
Cancelling call diversion
• Lift the handset and wait for the dial tone
• Dial the assigned access code for the type of call diversion you wish
to deactivate
• The service is now inactive
With this feature, a single beep every three seconds tells you someone is calling
you when you are already on a call (maximum four beeps). To answer the call,
press the ‘flash’ or ‘recall’ button on your phone. To return to the first caller,
press the button again.
• The voice prompt will confirm it has been deactivated

• Suspend call waiting for one call, lift the handset and dial *70

Using remote call diversion

This lets you activate your call diversion when you’re away from the office.

Call diversion
This feature lets you forward incoming calls to an alternative number (mobile
or landline).
Call charges
• Dial 099476000 to access the main menu
• Enter your full phone number (with or without the 0) e.g. 09 1234567
followed by the # key
This lets you see who is calling you so you can prioritise which calls to
answer. If the caller stays on the phone for a minimum of two rings, your
phone will also keep a record of the call. You need a compatible phone
to use this feature.
Wiring and maintenance
Wiring and maintenance is an insurance service. If there are general wear
and tear problems with the internal wiring or sockets that cause a fault, this
additional monthly charge covers all repair costs. Any repairs requested
that are not covered by internal wiring will be charged on a time and
materials basis.
There are a number of technical factors that influence the speed of your
broadband service and internal wiring is one of these. Having a qualified
installer to install your broadband wiring will ensure that the best possible
speed is available to you within your building.
If you have a service issue, please first check that your equipment is operating
correctly. If there are no faults with the equipment, please call our business
customer services on 0800 400 888. Your telephone equipment is not
covered by this service.

Setting up your internet features couldn’t be easier. Just follow the instructions
here and you’ll be up and running in no time.
All our email accounts come with premium anti-spam and anti-virus
protection for free. Have a quick look for your preferred email program and
follow the step-by-step instructions to get your email up and running.
2 Select Tools and go to E-mail Accounts.
Adding email addresses. To add an extra email address to your
account, simply log in to My Account.
Microsoft Outlook 2007
Using webspace. Webspace allows you to host basic information online.
1 Open Microsoft Outlook 2007.
You will need web-compatible files (such as html files) and access to FTP software.
Just log in to My Account to get started.
Managing your domain name. Your domain name is also your website
address (for example www.yourbusiness.co.nz) and you own the license to use
the domain. You can register a new domain name or transfer an existing domain
name by logging in to My Account then clicking Register/Transfer under
Domains on the left hand menu. You own the licence to use the domain, and your
email address matches your website, making it easier for customers to remember.
Set-up guides. Broadband set-up guides can also be downloaded from
vodafone.co.nz/help. All our hardware comes pre-configured with our default
settings, so you’ll just need to enter your Vodafone email address and password
in the modem set-up wizard.
Wireless network. Follow the additional steps in the set-up guide that
came with your Easy Office modem to get your wireless modem and computers
connected and secure. If you need help connecting your wireless network to
other devices, you will need to contact a computer technician.

If for some reason you have difficulty connecting to the internet at any time,
you may need to switch off the power to your modem/router for a short while,
then switch it back on.
Broadband speed and line quality test
Sometimes we may ask you to carry out a test as part of troubleshooting any
issues with your connection. You can check the speed and line quality of your
connection at any time using our online speed and line quality test.www.vodafone.
co.nz/broadband/speedtest/ Your broadband speed will vary depending on things
like how far you are from our equipment, how many other people are using the
internet at the same time and your wiring and modem set-up. So the speed of your
broadband plan is the maximum possible speed, not a guaranteed speed.
2 Select Tools then Account Settings.
3 On the Email tab, click New to add a new email account.
4 In the ‘Choose E-mail Service’ window, select ‘Microsoft Exchange,
POP3, IMAP or HTTP’ and click Next.

In the Auto Account Setup window, enter your name as follows:
Your name
In the Your Name field, type your name as you would like it to appear
on the emails you send e.g. John Smith.
E-mail Address
In this field, enter your full email address in the form
username@vodafone.co.nz
Password
Enter the password that was provided to you by Vodafone in the
welcome email. If you want your system to remember your password,
you can tick the box that says ‘Remember Password’.
6 Retype the password to confirm.
IMPORTANT: Please make sure you tick the check box for manually
configured server settings or additional server types and click Next .
1 Open Microsoft Outlook.
3 In the E-mail Accounts wizard window, select Add a new e-mail account
and click Next.
4 For your server type, select ‘POP3’ and click Next.

In the Internet E-mail Settings (POP3) window, enter your information
as follows:
Your Name
In the Your Name field, type your name as you would like it to appear on
the emails you send e.g. John Smith.
Email Address
In this field, enter your email address.
User Name
In the User Name field, enter your username@vodafone.co.nz
Password
Enter the password that was provided to you by Vodafone in the welcome
email. If you want your system to remember your password, you can tick
the box that says ‘Remember Password’.
Incoming mail server (POP3)
Enter pop.vodafone.co.nz
Outgoing mail server (SMTP)
Enter smtp.vodafone.co.nz
6 Click Next to finish setting up your email.
7 In the Choose Email Service window, select ‘Internet Email’ and click Next.
8 In the Internet Email Settings window some user information is auto filled.
9 Under Server Information enter the settings as below:

Enter ‘pop.vodafone.co.nz’
Outgoing mail server (SMTP)

Under Logon Information, enter your email address in the User Name field and
your password in the Password field (enter the password that was provided to
you by Vodafone in the welcome email). If you want your system to remember
your password, you can tick the box that says ‘Remember Password’.
11 Click Next to finish; this will take you back to the Account Settings window,
click Close to exit.

1 In Outlook Express, go to the Tools menu and click on Accounts.
1 Open Windows Mail.
1 Open Mail (click it on the Dock or open it from the Applications folder).
2 Click on the Add button in the upper right.
2 Go to the Tools menu and click Accounts.
3 Click Mail.
3 Once you are in the Internet Accounts window, click Add in the
upper right.
2 If the “Welcome to Mail” assistant does not appear, choose Add Account
from the File menu.
4 In the Your Name window, type in the name you want your recipients
to see when they receive your emails, e.g. John Smith, then click Next.
5 In the Internet Email Address window, select the option I already
have an email address that I’d like to use, type in your email address,
e.g. username@vodafone.co.nz, then click Next.

In the Email Server Names window, enter the email server information
as shown below:
Incoming email server type:
POP3
Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP or HTTP) server:
pop.vodafone.co.nz
Outgoing email server (SMTP) name:
smtp.vodafone.co.nz
7 In the Internet Mail Logon window, enter the username and password
for your email account into the Account Name and Password windows.
Remember - these details were provided to you in the welcome email.
If you want your system to remember your password, please tick the
box that says ‘Remember Password’.
IMPORTANT: Leave the box that says ‘Log on using Secure Password
Authentication (SPA)’ unticked, then click Finish.
This will take you back to the Internet Accounts window.
8 Click Close to finish.
4 In the Select Account Type window, double-click on Email Account.
5 In the Your Name window, type in your name as you would like it to
appear on the emails you send, e.g. John Smith, then click Next.
6 In the Internet E-mail Address window, type in your e-mail address
e.g. username@vodafone.co.nz, then click Next.
7 In the Set up Email Servers window, enter the email server information
as shown below:
Incoming email server type:
POP3
Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server:
pop.vodafone.co.nz
Outgoing email server (SMTP) name:
smtp.vodafone.co.nz
IMPORTANT: Leave the box that says ‘Outgoing server requires authentication’
unticked.

In the Internet Mail Logon window, enter the username and password
for your email account provided in the welcome email. If you want
your system to remember your password, you can tick the box that
says ‘Remember Password’.
IMPORTANT: Leave the ‘Do not download my email and folders at this time’
box unticked, then click Finish.
9 Click Close to finish.
3 Fill in the Full Name, Email address, and Password fields.
Note: Your email account password will be stored in Keychain to allow you
to automatically log in to your email account when you open Mail.
4 Deselect ‘Automatically set up account’ if it is enabled.
5 Click Continue to proceed.
6 Choose the proper Account Type.
7 Give your account a useful description, such as “John’s Vodafone account”.
It can be called whatever you want.
8 Enter your Incoming Mail Server:
pop.vodafone.co.nz
9 Enter your username, e.g.username@vodafone.co.nz into the username
field and enter your password (these were provided in the welcome email).
Click Continue to proceed.
10 If prompted, enter your Incoming Mail Security settings:
pop.vodafone.co.nz
11 Click Continue to proceed.
12 For Outgoing Mail Server, enter a useful description such as “Vodafone
Outgoing Mail Server”.
13 Enter the Outgoing Mail Server details
smtp.vodafone.co.nz
14 If necessary, select “Use Authentication” and enter the username and
password for your email account provided in the welcome email.
15 Click Continue to proceed.
16 If prompted, enter your Outgoing Mail Security settings:
smtp.vodafone.co.nz
17 Click Continue to proceed.
18 Verify your settings in the Account Summary. Check “Take account online”.
Click Create to complete the process.
After completing these steps you should be able to send and receive email
via this account.

How to set up Easy Office
Entourage
Thunderbird
1 Open Entourage, go to the top menu bar and choose Tools then
Accounts. You will be presented with the Accounts window.
1 In Mozilla Thunderbird, from the Tools menu select Account Settings.
2 Under the Accounts window, click on the Mail tab. Click the New icon
and select Mail from the drop down list.
3 In the Your Name window, type in the name you want your recipients
to see when they receive your emails, e.g. John Smith, then click on
the right arrow to continue.
4 In the Your Email Address window, select the option I already have
an email address that I’d like to use, type in your e-mail address,
e.g. username@vodafone.co.nz, then click on the right arrow to continue.

In the Mail Servers window, set the options as below then click
on the right arrow to continue.
My incoming mail server is a(n):

Outgoing (SMTP) mail server:

6 In the Account ID and Password window, enter the username and
password as provided by Vodafone in your welcome email.
7 Tick the box that says Save password in my Mac OS keychain then click
the right arrow to continue.
Go to vodafone.co.nz/business to find other ways we can help make your business easy.
2 In the Account Settings window, click Add Account at the bottom
of the page.
3 In the New Account Setup window, select Email Account.

In the Identifiy window, type the name you want your recipients to see
when they receive your emails e.g. John Smith in the Your Name field.
Then type your email address e.g. username@vodafone.co.nz in the
Email Address field. Click Next to continue.
5 In the Server Information Window, set the options as below then click
Next to continue.
Set the incoming server you are using to POP
Incoming Server:
pop.vodafone.co.nz
IMPORTANT: Leave the Use Global Inbox tickbox selected.
6 In the User Names window, enter your username (as provided by
Vodafone in your welcome email) into the Incoming User Name and
Outgoing User Name fields.
7 In the Account Name window, enter an Account Name for your
email account.
8 The final screen will summarise the details you’ve entered; tick the box
that says Download messages now then click Finish.
8 In the final screen, type a name for this account, make sure the Include
this account in my Send & Receive All schedule is ticked, then
click Finish.
9 This will take you back to the Accounts window. Click the red ball
in the upper left of the page to close.
