Helped grow email list from 8,000 to nearly 300,000 in 8 months. Developed tool (www.acthere.com) that enabled organizers to create and promote their own events while marketing their pre‐existing affiliations and communities. 2003 – 2004 DEAN FOR AMERICA, Burlington, VT Director of Internet Organizing (Research & Development). Led all major organizing technology innovations on Dean’s Internet Campaign (Get Local, DeanLink, Posters for America, Letters for America, Phone Banking, Meetup Host Software, Feedback, Radio for America, Deanspace). Designed online tools and managed software developers, working with grassroots supporters to improve usability. Led national grassroots events, 2001 – 2002 2001 – 2002 wrote regularly for blog and website, and cultivated grassroots communities. Worked closely with communications department to generate positive press for innovations. Nominated by Margaret Carlson as Political Rookie of the Year. FAIR TRIAL INITIATIVE, Durham, NC Co‐Founder, Executive Director. Founded and ran nonprofit dedicated to recruiting and training young lawyers to become capital trial attorneys. Developed training and mentoring program offering two year fellowships and pro bono placements in North Carolina, Maryland and Virginia.
