OUR MISSION STATEMENT: A family of churches working together in equipping and encouraging one another in fulfilling the Great Commission. DIRECTOR OF MISSIONS Dr. Robert E. Tyson, Sr. ANNUAL MEETING: OCTOBER 20-21, 2014 On October 21 and 22, we are celebrating our 100 th Annual Meeting. We are grateful for all God has done and is doing to accomplish HIS work. God blesses us as we work together. The Baptist Association is testimony that our Lord blesses HIS churches, when they work together for HIS glory. Contrary to Victoria Osteen, this is not about us. It is about working together to bring glory to Jesus. Contrary to the Islamic State, this is not about promoting a theology of hatred. Our work is about promoting the theology that Jesus is Lord. HIS love woos us to be a family of churches who work together in equipping and encouraging one another in fulfilling the Great Commission. As you prepare for the Annual Meeting, it is IMPORTANT that your church elects your church’s messengers and, in the Spirit of Christ, sends them to the sessions. Each church is entitled to elect three (3) messengers for their first fifty (50) members. Then, each church can elect one (1) additional messenger for every fifty (50) additional members. Based on this formula, every church can elect at least three (3) messengers and have no more than ten (10). The Monday session will be at Epiphany Baptist Church, in Springfield, beginning at 7:00 PM. The Tuesday sessions will be at Springfield Baptist Church in Springfield. The afternoon session begins at 4:00 PM, supper at 5:30 PM, and the evening session at 7:00 PM. We are grateful to Springfield Baptist Church for hosting the meal.
