The Heritage District of the United Methodist Church is working to raise money to support Imagine No Malaria. The Skeeter Run 5K is a part of this campaign to help wipe out malaria. Unlike many other diseases that are awaiting a cure, malaria was eliminated in the U.S. in the 1950s. However, in Sub-Saharan Africa, malaria continues to kill a person every 60 seconds. But there is hope! Imagine No Malaria is part of a global partnership and together with our partners; our generation can beat malaria once and for all. http://imaginenomalaria.org/ Location: Wake Forest United Methodist Church 905 S Main St, Wake Forest, NC 27587 Date & Time: 10/12/2014 3pm (Bib pick up starts at 1:30pm in FLC) Our Race Registration Website: http://skeeterrun5kwakeforest.itsyourrace.com/ (If you choose not to race, donations may also be made here) Facebook Page: Imagine No Malaria Skeeter Run 5k- Heritage District Pricing: Pre-register online - $20/adult, $10/child (ages 5-10), 4 & under free Day of race - $25/adult, $15/child (ages 5-10), 4 & under free Questions: contact race coordinator – Cynthia Moore – 919-610-1861 SkeeterRun5KWakeForest@gmail.com Want to help?
