OVERFLOW HOMELESS SHELTER PROGRAM
Our St. Patrick’s St. Vincent de
Paul Society is again soliciting
adult volunteers to provide
overview supportive services for
the homeless beginning January 1,
2015 and every Thursday evening
through the early hours of Friday mornings.
Our
volunteers will serve as two per four hour shift beginning
at 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The second team of two
volunteers will serve between 11:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m.
The final two person team will serve from 3:00 a.m. to 7:15
a.m.
The program will follow last year’s protocol by
changing location every two weeks. All volunteers will be
given a schedule of planned church locations in Fall River
as soon as available.
If we obtain enough volunteers, we will hopefully
be able to limit each volunteer to only three times of
service for the winter. For those volunteering who have
never before served in this annual program, orientation and
training will be provided.
This opportunity of service enables us to reflect
Christ’s love and compassion for all our brothers and
sisters. Please consider our invitation with prayerful
reflection.
