used. Anyone that may know the history of it or what
it was or could be used for are invited to contact Rob

Rob Ostdiek
rkostdiek@windstream.net or 402-228-9401,
This is Kick-Off weekend atSt. Joseph!
The Diocese of Lincoln is now embarking on an
ambitious diocesan-wide capital campaign entitled
the Joy of the Gospel.
LDCCW OCTOBER PRO-LIFE DIAPER DRIVE
One of the non-truths in the abortion debate is the
notion that pro-life advocates care about the child in
the womb and do nothing for pregnant women or
for the children once born. The Diaper Drive is a
great opportunity to support the women that choose
life rather than abortion. Let’s all work together to
make this Pro-Life Diaper Drive a great success.
Listen to Spirit Catholic Radio for Diaper Drive
announcements.
It has become clear that the financial resources
made available by the Joy of the Gospel will have
a great impact on our parishes, our families, our
youth, our children, our lay leaders, and our priests.
THE COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRY The items
needed for the Food Pantry are coffee/tea,
flour/sugar,shampoo/conditioner, fruit cups, soups,
spaghetti & spaghetti sauce, pancake mix/syrup,
canned fruit, pudding cups, hot/cold cereal, and
monetary gifts are always welcome. You can leave
the items in the grocery cart at the St. Joseph
Church.
FOOD PANTRY INGATHERING is November 15.
The Food Pantry is in need of help with the Fall
Ingathering by counting homes and delivering
sacks. For more information or to help call Karen
Mains at 223-8975.
After much prayer, many years of consultation that
began before Bishop Conley arrived, and a review
of a feasibility study conducted late last year, we
have embarked upon an historic project to ensure
that the Church can respond to current demands
and prepare for the next generation of Catholics.
Joy of the Gospel, seeks to raise a minimum of
$53 million to address key challenges across the
Diocese of Lincoln including: 1) Catholic Education
2) Clergy Retirement 3) Seminarian Formation 4)
St. Gregory the Great Seminary 5) New
Evangelization and 6) our Parish initiatives.
St. Joseph is participating in the ‘Pilot’ phase of the
campaign with our goal to be completed by early
December 2014. Most parishes in our diocese will
begin and end in 2015. The goal of the campaign is
to meet and explain, in detail, the complete goals
and needs for Joy of the Gospel campaign.
Volunteers are reaching out to the parish members
on behalf of the parish, the diocese and Bishop
Conley to present the campaign case statement.
Please welcome and listen to what they offer
should you receive a call.
You will hear more about Joy of the Gospel at the
parish in coming weeks.
