NOTICE OF RACE Stoney Burke Interconference Regatta UC Berkeley Sailing Team October 18-19, 2014 The regatta will be governed by: the Racing Rules of Sailing, the ICSA Procedural Rules & Collegiate Dinghy Class Rules, PCCSC Standing Rules and the Sailing Instructions. ENTRY Each school may enter one coed varsity team, one women’s varsity team and unlimited JV teams. There is a $30 entry fee per boat to cover TISC Launching fees payable to “UC Regents”. This will be a 2 divisional rotational event. Schools must confirm their attendance and the number of varsity boats by 1700 hrs Wednesday, October 15, 2014 to danielle.richards@ussailing.net BOATS Teams will race PCCSC-legal FJs to be provided by each team. Teams must provide their own PCCSC legal FJ sails. Limited charter boats may be available, please contact Stephen Bordes at sbordes@stfyc.com for information. Each charter boat is $100 for the weekend. If you are chartering, you are strongly advised to bring your own race sails. DIRECTIONS From San Francisco: - Take I-80 East to the Bay Bridge. Treasure Island is a left exit at the end of the San Francisco side span. The exit road will merge onto the road that runs down the west side of Yerba Buena Island (overlooking San Francisco to the west and Clipper Cove to the east). Continue down the hill until you reach the gate that guards the entrance to Treasure Island. - Continue through the gate and take your first right onto California Ave. - As you proceed down California, you will see several large buildings on your right. Look for signs for “Sailing Center” and then turn right to head towards the water. Once at the water, turn left towards the rear gate of the Sailing Center. From Oakland: - Take I-80 west to the Bay Bridge. After the toll booths, merge into the far left lane. The exit for Yerba Buena/Treasure Island is a left exit at the end of the Oakland side span. Follow the exit road around to the west side of Yerba Buena Island. From here on, directions are same as above.
