2014 Bishop’s Annual Appeal
Life-Changing Faith
“Lay people are not merely the clergy’s collaborators, but
rather share in the responsibility of the Church’s ministry,” said Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. Through the
building of awareness and collaborative relationships,
the Office of Parish Leadership Formation exists to
recognize, support and resource the gifts of committed
lay persons as well as to educate, form and empower
them to respond to various needs in the contemporary
Church.
Your gift to the Bishop’s Annual Appeal helps build
strong parishes by supporting this vital ministry.
~Please remember your Church in Your Last
Will & Testament~
-Sacred Heart Church is an important aspect in
forming you and shaping your life. It has made you the
kind and generous person that you are. But, most importantly, Sacred Heart Church has been a home for
over a hundred years and it is your home.
-Please ensure the life of this most beautiful
Church for future generations by remembering Sacred
Heart Church in your Last Will and Testament.
May God Reward your Great Sacrifice!
Sincerely,
Fr. Stanley G.

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Middle East Relief Collection October 25 & 26
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, we will be having a second collection for
Middle East Relief. I understand that the additional collections may be burdensome for you,
but the need is so great that I wouldn’t approach you otherwise.
I ask you to look around, look at those children you love so and imagine your child in
the Middle East, or your brother, sister, parent, and friend. Could or would you leave them
alone, abandoned by the world, or would you run to their aid heedless of your own safety? I
have been blessed to have gotten to know you, my dear parishioners, and I can say with firm
knowledge that you would run to the aid of any in need.
We have been so blessed to have the freedom to attend Mass not only on Sundays but
daily without the worries of our lives being threatened. It is incredible that our fellow Christians
in the Middle East are being killed for their beliefs. The urgency of the ongoing crisis calls for
us to come to our brethren’s assistance immediately! We need to provide humanitarian relief
and pastoral support for Christians and other innocent victims of violence in the Middle East.
Therefore, the Bishops of the United States have asked us to take up a second
collection at all Masses next weekend, October 25 and 26, to provide assistance to those in the
Middle East suffering. In addition, Most Rev. Paul Bootkoski, Bishop of Metuchen, has asked
that we join in prayer for those who are suffering as a result of these tragic circumstances.
I thank you so very much for your continued generous support of all that is asked of
you. May our Lord Jesus Christ bless all of you who have given so generously and who
continue to give so generously.
I remain you most humble servant,
Yours in Christ Jesus,
Fr. Stanley G.

odniesieniu władzy do szeroko rozumianych spraw wiary i Kościoła.
Trzeba się troszczyć, by wraz z podatkami i innymi
Ks. Marian
