Geriatric Physical Therapy
UPMC Centers for Rehab Services Geriatric Physical Therapy
Residency Program in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking applicants
for the 2015 residency class. This 15-month program
(August - November) is a post-professional, planned learning
experience that focuses on clinical practice with mentoring,
education, and advocacy in the specialty area of geriatric
physical therapy.
Residents are full-time employees of UPMC Centers for
Rehab Services, the largest provider of rehabilitative services
in western Pennsylvania. Residents gain experience with an
almost exclusively geriatric clientele through rotations in acute
care, inpatient rehab, skilled nursing, and outpatient settings.
Residents earn a salary and receive an employee benefit
package. As part of the residency, they attend state and
national conferences, continuing education offerings, and
regularly interact with a geriatric-focused multidisciplinary team.
