The Wildcat Marching Band finished off their season strong at the NSBA State Marching Contest, taking third place overall with a Superior Rating. They will celebrate a great season tonight and begin preparations for their Winter Concert this week. Congratulations to our Girls and Boys Cross Country Teams for their Runner-Up finishes at the State Meet last Friday. Millard West Girls Swimming & Diving Team: If you would like to order a team suit for 2015 please come down to the pool office & pick up an order form. We will be putting the order in on Nov. 4th so pick up the form & get your order in before Nov. 4th. FCCLA is hosting TRICK OR TRUNK Wednesday, October 29 4:30-7:30 p.m. In the Millard West Commons This is a safe Trick or Treating event for young children—up to age 12. Costumes are encouraged but not required, nothing too scary! Bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Omaha Food Bank (optional) Do You Have A Parent Portal Account? We are currently 9th Place in the country! However, there’s still time to help our Student Council capture one of the 66 cash prizes and maybe even win the top prize of $4000. Earn points by purchasing combo meals in the cafeteria, healthy snacks or beverages on the challenge list. Better yet, DOUBLE the points you earn by purchasing the “featured” healthy snack, beverage or entrée highlighted by flashing lights in the Cats Den. Letter of Intent Signing NCAA/NAIA Letter of Intent Signing Ceremony Wednesday, November 12th In the Auditorium @ 7:20 a.m. Any athlete who has made a decision on future college athletic participation and is ready to announce that decision and sign a letter of intent should notify Mr. Loofe in the Activities Office by Friday, November 7th. Winter Sports First Day November 17th If you plan to participate, you must turn in all participation forms and participation fee to Ms. Chastain in the Activities Office before Monday, November 17th. These forms can be found on our website: Activities -> Eligibility Forms or they can be picked up in the Activities Office. Want to learn a string instrument? UNL Extended Customer Service Hours UNL will offer additional admissions application support for prospective students now up to Oct. 22-31. To sign up to attend any of the upcoming college rep visits, please follow these steps: 1) Log-in to Naviance 2) Select the Colleges tab 3) Under the "my colleges" section you can "view all upcoming college visits" 4) After signing up for a college visit, students should print off the confirmation page to use as their pass to attend the college visit. You can do this by using ctrl P or selecting File and then Print. If you have any questions on how to complete this process, please see Mrs. Brenda Cary in the Guidance Office.
