WHY you came to a Twitter
presentation: There are no wrong answers.
1. Reluctant but curious. .. don't have time but want to know what others find useful.
2. Want to be a minimal user, lurk, read what is there, and get out quickly.
3. Want to tweet my events/ business to get people to do something.....
4. Engage and interact with others who use twitter.
5. Be an expert. Know about Twitter sneakiness. Milk it for everything.
6. I don't care about the twitters, but it is a job and I twitter for lots of people who don't
want to do it themselves.
Today's ObjectivesParticipants will be able to :
1. Describe the history & and list several current uses of Twitter.
2. Create their own Twitter accounts.
3. List 3 organizations and 3 holistic, political or business leaders to follow.
Understand lists, favorites and subscriptions.
4. Describe why following leaders and topics ( #hashtag ) will outperform
other news media..
5. Enhance their learning experience during a class, course, protest or
conference by sharing tweets with others.( #AHNA2013 for example )
6. Have enough information to decide if you or your health practice/ business
should do more with twitter in the future.

What is it?
Twitter is a social networking service
and microblogging service that enables its users to send
and read text-based messages of up to 140 characters,
known as "tweets".
It was launched in July 2006. The service rapidly gained worldwide popularity,
with over 500 million twitter accounts, it is called the text messaging ( SMS )
of the Internet.“ There are one billion tweets per week. Some people tweet
more than others. Only 200 million tweet at least once a month.
Unregistered users can read tweets, while registered users can post tweets
through the website interface, SMS, or a range of apps for mobile devices.

Did you know you can read posts without

Advantages of an account are creating a home page to follow your favorites,
Creating lists and being able to tweet yourself!
It is easy to set up an account at Twitter.com, you will be stepped through it.
Some people have more than one account, for example for your business,
church or personal hobby. You will need a different email address for
each account.

number to Twitter
1.Log in to twitter.com and click on the gear icon.
2.Select Settings from the drop-down menu.
3.Click on the Mobile tab.
4.Choose your country from the first drop-down
menu.
5.Enter your mobile number. No need to include
your country code or leading zero; we handle these
automatically.
6.Click Activate phone to begin verifying your

7.You will be directed to send the word 'GO' via text

8.Text the verification code from your phone to that
