O Lord, please hear my prayer, in the mornin’ when I rise.
It’s your servant bound for glory. O dear Lord, please hear my prayer.
O Lord, please hear my prayer, keep me safe within your arms.
It’s your servant bound for glory. O dear, Lord, please hear my prayer.
When my work on earth is done, and you come to take me home.
Just to know I’m bound for glory. And to hear you say well done.
Done with sin and sorrow, have mercy, mercy. Amen.

In all things we are more than conquerors
through the One who loved us.
We are sure that
neither death nor life,
nor angels, nor principalities,
nor things present, nor things to come,
nor powers, nor height, nor depth,
nor anything else in all creation,
will be able to separate us from the love of God
in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Thanks be to God! Amen.

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our
trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and
lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom,
and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

I’ve got peace like a river in my soul.

I’ve got faith like a river, I’ve got hope like a river,
I’ve got love like a river in my soul; peace in my soul.

There are two ways offered to become a member of this congregation:

to the pastor during the singing of the closing hymn
- Meet Rev. Scroggin in Ogden Fellowship Hall at the close of the 9:45 or 11:00 worship hours
Fulfilling a part of the 2011 FUMCR Strategic Vision, Leadership Development launched a pilot this fall called
LeadershipFirst. Forty-three dedicated men and women who hold various leadership roles within fifteen different
ministry areas, came together to discuss multiple components of leadership. The mission of LeadershipFirst is to
equip Christians to be passionate servant-leaders in the Church and community. Through the pilot, we have begun
a process which will ultimately reach people and ministries throughout FUMCR and add to our legacy of leadership.
Stay tuned!

The “Extra Dollar Concept” represents the way members of First United Methodist Church Richardson,
who give to the church monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, annually or by mail, may place “an extra dollar” in the
offering plate each Sunday in order to participate in our worship through giving and serve as an example
to our children, youth and guests of our love for our church.
Please welcome our new members who joined last week:
