One summer, a drought threatened the crop in
a small town. On a hot and dry Sunday, the
pastor told his Catholic congregation, “There
isn’t anything that will save us except to pray for rain. Go
home, pray, believe, and come back next Sunday ready
to thank God for sending rain.”
The people did as they were told and returned to the
church the following Sunday. But as soon as the priest
saw them, he was furious. “We can’t worship today. You
do not yet believe,” he said.
“But, they protested, “We prayed and we do believe.”
“Then where are your umbrellas?”

Billboards for Life
Over the course of the last 19 years, Orange County
Right to Life has placed many pro-life billboards
throughout Orange and Sullivan counties.
The billboards are a wonderful opportunity to reach
out to abortion-minded women and passing-by drivers
with their message of hope and love.
However, they are expensive approaching $800 per
month. Please mail donations to OC Right to Life, P.O.
Box 51, Washingtonville, NY 10992. (Not tax deductible.)
Thank you and God bless you.
