Faith Direct enables parishioners to make your Church contributions through either direct debit from your checking/savings account or through your credit/debit card. No more writing checks or searching for envelopes on the way out the door. Now you can apply the convenience of direct debit to your parish offerings in much the same way as you may now use it to make your mortgage, car or tuition payments. Faith Direct also offers you personalized offertory cards to replace your envelopes for the collection basket. Please enroll by responding to the mailing you will receive or visit www.faithdirect.net to enroll securely online. Our parish code is TX653. Book of Remembrances November is a time when we especially remember our deceased family and friends in prayer. Magnanimous Musings of Fr. John Robert As we begin to come to the end of the liturgical year, our thoughts necessarily go to the idea of endings, including our own ending in death. Indeed in this month of November we remember our beloved departed ones. But, ours is a faith that fearlessly proclaims life in the midst if death. That is where our hope must be. Next weekend, an organization that helps to proclaim life in the midst of seeming "death" (poverty and illness) will be here at all masses: Cross Catholic International. They have been here before. As this parish has been so generous in the past, I am sure we will be so again to the good work that Cross Catholic does. Please also note that Thanksgiving is coming. A big Thank you to all who are helping with the Thanksgiving baskets that St. Vincent de Paul Society is providing. We will have a mass on Thanksgiving Day at 9 am. There will also be the Wednesday evening mass at 6:30 pm the night before. At both masses, you are invited to bring any food or drink that you would like blessed for your meal as a family. God bless you all.
