1—2:30 PM—St. Monica Senior School—16th &
Porter Sts. Richard Gaudiosi of the Social Security
Admin. Will be speaking about Medicare enrollment,
especially regarding guidelines for enrollment in
Medicare Part B, the online services through the S.S.

St. Monica Eldercare Program reminds those
enrolled in Medicare that the Open Enrollment
Period is Oct. 15-Dec. 7, 2014. Most St. Monica
members realize that one of the services provided
by Bonny DosSantos is Medicare counseling; she
helps parishioners to understand their choices &
to enroll in the plans that are best for them. We
want to let St. Edmond members know of this
valuable service as well. To learn more about
Medicare Open Enrollment, or to schedule
appointment with Bonney, please contact her by
phone at 215-334-0285 or by email at
bdossantos@chs-adphila.org

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2014
Thirty Second Sunday in Ordinary Time
(Lec. 671)
1) Ezekiel 47:1-2, 8-9, 12
2) 1 Corinthians 3:9c-11, 16-17
3) John 2:13-22
FOCUS: The Church of Jesus Christ is
ever ancient, ever new.
The Lateran Basilica is the seat of the
Bishop of Rome, the pope. The building
may have been repaired and its role may
have changed since the fourth century, but
Jesus Christ remains its cornerstone as he
is the cornerstone of the entire Church.
Our spiritual practices and rituals likewise
may evolve, but as temples of the Holy
Spirit, our faith remains in Jesus Christ,
our Lord and Savior.
LITURGY OF THE WORD
The angel brings Ezekiel to the heavenly
temple. St. Paul, today, reminds us that
we are temples of the Holy Spirit. In the
Gospel today, the money changers desecrate the temple and Jesus confronts them.
He turns the tables on them, saying he will
rebuild the “temple” in three days, alluding to his death and resurrection.
Thank You….The Harvest Homecoming held at St. Edmond was a
great success & enjoyed by all. We
thank Chris Di Lolle, Choir Director
& Eileen Hillanbrand, Organist & all
the choir members for their hard
work & dedication. We also thank all
those who purchased tickets & donated to the event. God Bless.
Prayer for the World
Meeting of Families
Please pray this prayer before all parish
Masses and before parish meetings and
events. This prayer is not prayed during
Mass.
God and Father of us all,
In Jesus, your Son and our Savior,
You have made us your sons and
daughters in the family of the Church.
May your grace and love
Help our families
In every part of the world
Be united to one another
In fidelity to the Gospel.
May the example of the Holy
Family,
With the aid of your Holy Spirit,
Guide all families, especially those most troubled,
To be homes of communion and prayer
And to always seek your truth and live in
your love.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, pray for us!
Remember Our Veterans
On Tuesday, Nov. 11 we celebrate
Veterans Day. A day on which we
remember the heroic sacrifice our
veterans made so that we might
enjoy our freedom. All are encouraged to join with
the Frontline Faith Project, an outreach program
addressing the spiritual needs of those serving in
the military, for their third annual “An American
Moment” to honor our armed forces past &
present. Offer a moment of silence & a prayer at
noon time to thank our military for their service, to
pray for the peaceful repose of those who have
died & to remember the intentions of those still
living. May God continue to bless our veterans&
those currently serving in the military & May God
Bless America !
