“Weight Management: How to Get Started & Keep on Going.”
Question/answer session (no lunch), 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
Nov. 11 (Tuesday): Brunch and Learn, “Hospice 101.” Light lunch will
be provided. Play bingo from 1-2:30 p.m. Sign up at Campo Family
YMCA welcome center.
Nov. 14 (Friday): Corks and Forks — A Night In Venice. An event
for ages 21 and older from 7-10 p.m. Purchase tickets at Campo for
$50/person and $75 at the door.
Nov. 18 (Thursday): Cooking Demo by Barbara Hammerle, ”Secrets
of a successful Thanksgiving Dinner,” 6-7:30 p.m. (Limit to 30)

Class Descriptions
SilverSneakers CLASSIC: Muscular Strength & Range of
Movement - Have fun and move to the music through a variety
of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of
movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights,
elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance,
and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

SilverSneakers Cardio: Combine fun and fitness to increase
your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a
standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work using
hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are
alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair
is offered for support, head to toe stretching and complete
relaxation in a comfortable position.

Restorative breathing exercises and a final relaxation will
promote stress reduction and mental clarity.
Line Dancing is one of the least intimidating forms of dance
because it’s easy to learn and you don’t need a partner. Many
steps in this low-impact workout may already be familiar if you
did the “Stroll” in the ’50s or the “Hustle” in the ’70s.
Walk To Be Fit: Walking is a great form of exercise for everyone.
Fat burning & low impact, it’s about as natural for your body as
it gets. How about longer joint life, increased flexibility and a
reduced risk of injury? Walking just one hour a week can reduce
the risk of coronary artery disease by 51 percent. (American
Heart Association) Join the club.
SilverSneakers YOGA: Chair Yoga will move your whole body
through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses.
