School is out, and teenagers will be looking
for fun and interesting things to do.
Area libraries are offering programs and
events suitable for teens, from manga and
anime to how to use a sewing machine.

1-4 p.m. June 14
If you have a sewing machine around the
house and don’t know quite what to do with
it, this class is for you. Instructors will show
the basics of sewing, how to wind a bobbin,
thread the machine and basic machine care
and maintenance. Attendees will learn basic
stitches, how to get started on their first
projects and how to pursue their own
sewing projects. Bring your own sewing
machine. For teens and adults.
