Warm up this May with a raft of new and returning drama series, eye-opening documentaries and amazing
reality moments.
Seven's, A Place to Call Home is back this May! Last year's epic finale saw the lives of the Bligh family
imploding. After paying off Bert to keep him quiet about his son James' sexuality, George was furious when
he attempted to extort more money from him. Which secrets will come out in on 2014? And which secrets
will be buried? Also on Seven this month, The Blacklist starring James Spader. He’s taken down the world’s
worst criminals one by one. Every week, another criminal is wiped out and now it's time to uncover the
truth about his next target?
New to ABC1 this month, Old School tells the story of Ted McCabe (Sam Neill), a retired cop, and Lennie
Cahill (Bryan Brown), a retired crim, who get together to solve crimes, unravel scams and make some muchneeded cash, while avoiding the wrath of the police and the underworld.
SBS ONE is bringing a new 10-part series inspired by the classic 90s film of the same name. Fargo follows an
all-new "true" crime case with new characters, all entrenched in the trademark humour, murder and
"Minnesota nice" that made the Academy Award-winning film an enduring classic.
Jack is BACK! 24: Live Another Day is a thrilling new event series heading to TEN. Set in London, the
sequel to the ground-breaking, award-winning series 24 again centres on heroic agent Jack Bauer and retains
the real-time, pulse-pounding, fast-paced format made famous by the original series, including split screens
and interweaving storylines.
This month, follow Nina Proudman's journey– now a single mother after the tragic and sudden death of her
partner (Matthew Le Nevez) days before the birth of their daughter. Season 5 of Offspring delves into
previously unexplored territories of life, love, loss and happiness as viewers fall in love with the adorable
baby Proudman-Reid.
For a dose of reality this month, Nine brings you The Voice! Superstar coaches Joel Madden and Ricky
Martin will be joined by Grammy award winning and The Voice UK Coaches will.i.am and Kylie Minogue in
their quest to discover Australia’s next Voice. Also on Nine, and in the quest to discover love, twelve single
city girls who have been unlucky in love and are heading to the furthest corners of Australia in order to find
‘the one’ on the new series, When Love Comes to Town.
On Seven, six couples from around Australia are putting their biggest possession on the line. They all have a
house but desperately want a home. To get their dream, they’re all going to have to help each other. Every
week a whole house will be revealed, and the reactions will be priceless on House Rules.
Masterchef Australia returns to TEN with the best group of home cooks the competition has ever seen.
Sharing an unrivalled passion for food, the contestants deliver some of the finest dishes in the programs
history. These are ordinary Australians who do extraordinary things for their love of food.

On SBS ONE, eurovisionaries Julia Zemiro and Sam Pang will bring their witty banter to the commentary
booth as they guide Australia through the glitz, glamour and madness of the Eurovision Song Contest direct
from Copenhagen, Denmark. Jessica Mauboy will feature with a special, not-to-be-missed performance in the
interval act of Semi-Final Two. Follow Jess' journey from Darwin to Denmark in the feature documentary
Jess Mauboy's Road to Eurovision.
One of Chris Lilley's favourite characters is back with the new comedy series, Jonah From Tonga on
ABC1. This series takes us into the life of teenager Jonah Takalua, now in a new school but still up to his old
tricks. The Tongan rebel finds himself in hot water with plenty of fights, frenemies, break-dancing and lawbreaking. And Sunday Best returns and will continue to present an outstanding collection of game-changing
and thought-provoking feature-length documentaries on Sunday nights.
For a kick of sport this month, SBS ONE has you covered! The 2014 Giro d’Italia is shaping as one of the
year’s most anticipated cycling race. Known for its spectacular mountain stages, the 2014 edition of the race
will begin in Belfast, Northern Ireland on 9 May before heading to the Irish capital Dublin and then on to
Italy, where the race will conclude in Trieste.
SBS 2 launches new six-part Australian series Unplanned America which follows three Aussie mates,
Gonzo, Nick and Parv, as they throw out the travel books and backpacker guides and hit the highways of
USA to explore some of the country’s lesser seen subcultures. And on ABC3, follow the disaster-prone
plans of the dysfunctional Thong Family – parents Trevor and Brenda, their 12-year-old son Holden and 14year-old daughter Narelle – as they try to put Whale Beach on the map in The Flamin' Thongs.
Boganologist Pauly Fenech and his team of hunters, bogan translator Shazza Jones and security leader Kev
the Kiwi, are on a national quest to find “Australia’s Greatest Bogan” in The Bogan Hunters on 7Mate.
They will leave no flanno unturned as their search takes them to the most bogan suburbs of Australia where
booze, boobs, buttocks, bongs, bikes, burnouts, tatts, uggs, mullets and missing teeth proudly reign supreme.
Another form of hunting takes place on GO! with Auction Hunters. Hunters, Allen Haff and Ton Jones,
travel America bidding on unclaimed storage units they think will contain the most hidden treasure, the
better the history the higher the price. And on GEM, The new unscripted series Marshall Law: Texas,
follows the U.S. Marshal Service, a brave force of law enforcement officers, as they fearlessly track down and
bring some of the most hardened fugitives to justice. The series centres on the elite Gulf Coast Violent
Offenders and Fugitive Task Force, which includes U.S. Marshals working with personnel from the Houston
Police Department, the Harris County Sheriff's Office, and other law-enforcement agencies.
And this month on Neighbours, a secret search for a long lost daughter begins, a beloved couple renew
their wedding vows and two scandalous kisses will have people questioning where their hearts lie. But the
real question on everyone’s mind is, who killed Kate? Will Brennan be able to solve the mystery behind
Erinsborough’s heartbreaking loss? It’s a big month on Ramsay Street so don’t miss one second of the action
on ELEVEN.
