On April 5, 2014, Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida will present its annual Hearts of Gold concert event featuring Southern rock band Sister Hazel. This year’s event will be held at B.B. King’s Blues Club at Pointe Orlando. The evening will begin with a Special Reception, silent auction, raffle and complimentary drinks and hors d’oeuvres at 6:00 p.m., followed by an up-close and intimate concert beginning at 8:00 p.m. In addition, Presenting, Corporate, and Community level sponsors will also have access to an exclusive meet and greet with the band. Over the years, our corporate partners and supporters have helped us raise thousands of dollars through this event to support the programs and services so desperately needed in our community. Each and every night, 600 homeless people, nearly 200 of them children, spend the night in our facilities. In early 2014, we anticipate opening our new Men’s Service Center which will be a seismic shift in the services we provide to the homeless male population, including a specific initiative for military veterans. The Coalition provides those less fortunate not only a safe place to stay, but also food, on-site child care, counseling, job training and coaching. Most of all, we give these men, women and children hope that with a little help, tomorrow will be better. Attached you will find event details and sponsorship information.
