The Context of Ephesians 4:
Matthew 7:1-5
What Jesus does NOT say

NOW WHAT?
1.
2.
3.
Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life
worthy of your calling, for you
have been called by God. 2Always be humble and gentle. Be
patient with each other, making
allowance for each other’s faults
because of your love. Make
every effort to keep yourselves
united in the Spirit, binding
yourselves together with peace.
Matthew 7:17:1 -5
Do not judge others, and you will
not be judged. For you will be
treated as you treat others. The
standard you use in judging is
the standard by which you will
be judged.
“And why worry about a speck
in your friend’s eye when you
have a log in your own? How can
you think of saying to your
friend, ‘Let me help you get rid of
that speck in your eye,’ when
you can’t see past the log in your
own eye? Hypocrite! First get rid
of the log in your own eye; then
you will see well enough to deal
with the speck in your friend’s
eye.
Words of wisdom...
“Beware of anything that puts
you in the superior person’s
place..... Stop having a measuring
rod for other people. There is
always one more fact in every
person’s case about which we
know nothing.”
-Oswald Chambers
It is hard to be critical when you
are grateful.

On behalf of Cornerstone Church, we are glad you are
here and hope you feel at home as we join together in
worship, prayer, and the study of God’s word.
Here at Cornerstone our goal is to provide opportunities
for people searching for God to find the God searching for
them and to encourage one another to be disciples and servants within our local communities and around the world.
So take a few minutes and meet some of the incredible
people sitting around you. Introduce yourself to someone you
don’t already know. Take a moment before or after the service to stop by the Coffee Corner or the Information Center.
And most importantly, thanks for choosing to worship God
with us today.
