Christmas Greetings to you and to yours!
As I write this note, we mark the halfway point of
Advent. With joy we focus now on the birth of a
babe in a far away land at a far away time. He is
born! Many things that I am reading right now have
referred to a God of Surprises. Once again our
God chooses to come among us as a vulnerable
little baby. Our God sent his messenger in the
most unlikely person of John who baptized the
people. Everything he does seems to have an
element of surprise. What is He doing to surprise
you at this Christmas?
We live in and with a joy beyond our expectation.
We live with a faith that defies reason. The God
who constantly surprises us is at it again. Find the
smallest thing and allow yourself to be surprised
by God.
May the joys of this Christmas season envelop you
with joy and hope. May God pour out his abundant
blessings and surprises upon you and your
families today and always.
Fr Tim
