Mary Queen of Saints Catholic Academy: The goal for
tuition assistance this year is $10,000.00. Soles for Education Walk raised $1,105.00; therefore, $8,895.00 is still
needed. The annual appeal letter mailed to all parishioners
in the seven school parishes hopefully will raise this
amount. Two new smart boards (an interactive board that
brings online learning to life in the classroom) were installed in autumn for grades 1 and 5; an additional smart
board was now installed in the math and science homeroom through a Townsend Foundation grant.
Nativity Displays: More than 200 Nativity sets from
around the world, along with Holy Family art work by the
Sisters of St. Francis, are on display at the Alfons Gallery
at St. Joseph Center, 1501 S. Layton Blvd (Greenfield at
27th St.). Open Wed., to Fri., 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. through
January 11th. For more information call 414-385-5273.
Many hearts, minds, hands: Our parish celebration of
Christmas includes religious and social activities. Certainly many have done much to make these days filled
with holy mystery, joy and worship. Besides all the
Christmas elves, there are parishioners who throughout
the year work behind the scenes to make our parish fulfill
its mission. Christmas is at time to say THANK-YOU!

Fourth Sunday of Advent
THE ADVENT DAYS OF WAITING POUR FORTH INTO CHRISTMAS
AND FIND FULFILLMENT IN THE CELEBRATION OF THE LORD’S BIRTH
The people who walked
in darkness
have seen a great light:
upon those who dwelt in the
land of gloom
a light has shone
(Isaiah 9:1).
For a child is born to us,
a son is given to us;
upon his shoulder
dominion rests.
The zeal of the Lord
of hosts will do this
(Isaiah 9:5-6).
Continue using the Advent/Christmas bookets which have
wonderful reflections for all the days of the Christmas Season.
Prayer for Lighting the Fourth Candle of the Advent Wreath
Almighty God, Creator of the heavens and the earth, each year we look forward to the Feast of Christ’s Holy Birth.
May the candles of this Advent Wreath proclaim that Christ
will come in the fullness of glory so that we may share in your life forever and ever. Amen.

Wednesday, December 24th, Christmas Eve, 5:00 p.m.

MAY THE JOY WHICH CHRIST BRINGS FILL YOUR HEARTS
DURING THIS BLESSED AND GLORIOUS CHRISTMAS SEASON!
BOŽIĆNO VESELJE I MILOST NOVOROĐENOGA KRALJA
BILA SVAMA U SVE DANE VAŠEGA ŽIVOTA!
Winter begins - The hope of new light and growth also begins
A cold and dark season of the year begins today.
As the cold for the 2014-2015 winter is now upon us, ironically an increase of daylight also is upon us.
The earth starts to tilt more and more toward the sun in the northern hemisphere
and a few seconds/minutes of additional daylight can be noticed every day.
However, at this very dark time of the year, when we begin to experience the increase of light,
we as believers in Christ also celebrate the birth of the true Light of the world.
All the lights and candles that we use at this time of the year are a profession of faith
that the true Light of God has been born into our world.
This Light shines within us in seasons of personal gloom as well as in times of brightness and joy.
