This "Holy Terror" from the past creates
more havoc than she prevents resulting in
Mary's return to help restore faith in family,
especially when it is revealed that father
George helped his bank make a fortune by
making the proper decision. Her job done,
Mary flies away having taught the children
how to behave and their father how to love.

TEN THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT
MARY POPPINS
1. P.L. Travers, the author, hated the film and cried through it.
2. It took Disney over 15 years to get the author to grant movie
rights.
3. Travers had already granted the rights to Disney before she
went to Hollywood to consult on the script, not as the movie
"Saving Mr. Banks" presents to us.
4. Travers wrote eight books involving Mary.
5. Far from being prim and proper as displayed in the movie,
Travers was openly bisexual.
6. During its inaugural productions around the globe, the show
won 44 major theater awards including Tony's, Olivier's and
Evening Standard awards.
7. The original Banks house weighed 40,000 pounds!
8. The show ran six years, 2619 performances and is number 22
on the longest running Broadway shows.
9. There are over a dozen magical illusions in the TWH
production requiring the hiring of a professional company.
10. The flying effects alone require the employment of even
another company.
10. The Theatre Winter Haven production may turn out to be
the most delightful--and expensive --show in our history.
