This is a brand new position and we’re hoping to bring someone on board who has an appetite for adventure. You’ll join an award winning HR department of 12 and be responsible for meeting the resourcing needs of a national and growing organisation. In three years, we’ve cut agency spend from 90% to 8%, doubled the size of the organisation from 250 to 500, launched an online recruitment system, created talent pools and influenced how the organisation thinks. We’re proud of what we have achieved but there is still so much more to do. As Resourcing Advisor, you’ll manage key stakeholder relationships for your client area and advise managers on best in class direct sourcing solutions for live and anticipated vacancies and drive recruitment campaigns from concept through to delivery, establishing an excellent pipeline of talent. You’ll support two client areas (Operations and Programme Division) and work collaboratively alongside the other Resourcing Advisor (Regions and External Relations Division) as well as HR Business Partners to meet the organisations resourcing needs. This is more than a recruitment position. In this varied and busy role you’ll contribute to the wider HR strategy and be involved in the full resourcing spectrum. This includes but is not limited to succession planning, talent pipelining, org design, operational excellence, induction and workforce planning. You will also help to develop systems that streamline the recruitment process, co-design new selection tools and drive forward projects to strengthen our employer brand and quality of hire. Key accountabilities Connect and engage with talent Ensure that all candidates receive a first class experience Identify opportunities for marketing Teach First and raise our profile as an employer of choice Write engaging and impactful job adverts to inspire applicant interest and identify relevant media channels to generate talent including lead generation on Linked In Build a pipeline of talent across defined disciplines which is supported by an effective engagement strategy Deliver a first-class recruitment service and tailored resourcing plans Understand the client group you support and their unique resourcing needs Determine innovative strategies for specialist, niche or hard-to-fill positions Develop resourcing plans that bring together historic trends, future needs and current capability plans Work closely with the HR Business Partner to determine current and future resourcing requirements so that you remain ahead of the game Drive recruitment campaigns from concept through to delivery and advise managers on best in class direct sourcing solutions Inspire and support Hiring Managers to think more broadly about what great might look like, taking into consideration team capability and succession plans Advise Hiring Managers on suitable selection methods for their vacancy and conduct competency and values-based interviews across the business Deliver group training sessions including ‘Recruitment for Hiring Managers’ and ‘HR Management Essentials’ and take time out to up-skill Managers who need it the most Add value through projects, collaboration and innovation Be an active member of the HR team, contributing to broader HR and organisational strategy Identify, develop and champion recruitment methods and activities to advance diversity and the practice of inclusion through various methods Review retention data for your client area and implement plans to reduce turnover Manage resourcing specific projects including alumni engagement and employer branding Make recommendations to improve recruitment processes and procedures Consult with the Resourcing Manager and Resourcing Advisor (Regions and External Relations) on recruitment strategy, sharing best-practice, ideas and lessons learnt Act as a role model to more junior colleagues and provide guidance and support where appropriate Technical competencies Skills and experience Experience implementing a range of attraction methodologies, especially direct sourcing solutions A track record using social media to build relationships, promote a brand and build talent pools Good understanding of best practice selection methods Experience using applicant tracking software, talent systems and/or HR databases Appreciation of the importance of a positive candidate experience Ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders Genuine market awareness coupled with a strategic and commercial mindset Good IT skills including Word, Excel and Powerpoint Personal attributes Proactive, passionate about resourcing and exceptionally organised Strong and clear communicator who is able to sell concepts in a compelling way Someone who is not afraid to challenge and is not deferred by barriers Ability to juggle a demanding workload and manage multiple priorities Willingness to contribute to and participate in personal development and on-going learning Teach First values Commitment Talks confidently about the work of Teach First Positive and proactive in spreading the brand messages Effectively manages projects and tasks to achieve a high quality result Meets the key dates, project milestones and progress reports as per the project plan Integrity Takes full accountability for responsibilities delegated to them Proactive and resourceful in finding opportunities to enhance development Proactively and regularly seeks feedback from a variety of colleagues Collaboration Communicates in a clear, articulate and engaging way Influences colleagues to think differently about things and explore different perspectives Constructively challenges others to bring out the best solutions and continuously improve Shares best practice with other team members Excellence Manages a varied workload balancing different priorities and short and long term goals.
