go. It is important that you read, understand, and agree to the trip rules listed
in this book.

Arrival times back at the Center are approximate. Therefore, please plan
accordingly! For your convenience, there is a cell phone with us on all trips,
so pick-up contacts may be advised if necessary.
Remember to make note of when your TRIP BALANCE is due. It is not our
responsibility—it is yours! Balances that are not paid by the due date may
result in a loss of your deposit money.
Where applicable, please consider purchasing trip insurance. The price is
reasonable and can save you lots of money if you need to cancel and a
replacement cannot be found. See the trip leaders for further information
on a specific trip.
Remember, the center is not open on weekends. Its operating hours are
Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Please reserve both front seats for the trip leader(s). They need to be able to
easily communicate with the driver.
Trip participants are required to park at the back of the side parking lot.
Reminder to all travelers, we do not call you to remind you that a trip is
imminent; it is your responsibility to remember that you have signed up
for a trip and to show up at a reasonable time for departure.

The museum surrounds you with the sounds, sensations, and legends of the Corps. The Leath‐
erneck Gallery is a sweeping overview of the Marines on land, in the air, and on the sea in the centerpiece gallery. After our tour of the museum, we will enjoy a buffet lunch at the Quantico Marine Base. Following lunch we will at‐
tend a Missing in America Project, a private flag laying ceremony honoring previously forgotten veterans at the Quantico National Cemetery. The Western Maryland Scenic Railroad offers passengers an exciting combination of mountain scenery and stories of the rich railroad history that developed between the lively Main Street District of Cumberland and Frostburg. The 3‐1/2 hour train excursion from Cumberland to Frostburg, (round trip), is an entertaining and education experience riders of all ages and interest will enjoy. A highlight of your trip will be a 1‐1/2 hour layover in Frostburg, Maryland. You can watch the engine be turned around at the train yards turntable, investigate the shops and restaurant on Frostburg’s Main Street. guided through the center and discover the whimsy and fantasy, the magic and memories, and the history and traditions of Christmas. Next on our agenda is The Christmas Putz. It is a retelling of the story of Christ birth through narration and music. Following lunch, we depart for the Central Moravian Church for a “Moravian Musical Experience”. You’ll experience a wonderful Christmas program that includes beautiful seasonal organ music and traditional Moravian music. We will then visit one of the top holiday markets in the world, Christkindlmarket Bethlehem. The market features aisles of exquisite handmade works created by some of the nation’s finest artisans, hear the heart‐warming sounds of live holiday music, and enjoy authentic German and Austrian food and much, much more! After dinner, we will board our coach for a ride through Bethlehem for its annual “Bethlehem by Night”. The tour includes a visit to the famous star atop South Mountain. On our final day we will visit Historic Hotel Bethlehem. All trips are open to Senior Center members. Current key tags must be
shown when registering for a trip.
Participants must be self-sufficient to go on trips. Senior Center Manager may
require physician’s certification to approve travel.
Anyone who exhibits inappropriate behavior must be approved by the Senior
Center Manager before traveling.
Registration will commence upon receipt of the required deposit. Checks are
preferred.
All monies are non-refundable unless a replacement can be found from
the waiting list. Certain exceptions will be handled on a case by case basis
by Senior Center staff.
Participants must furnish their own transportation to and from meeting points.
Absolutely no smoking or alcoholic beverages on the buses.
Trip participants will sign a Release of Liability form.
Buses will not wait for anyone. Participants must adhere to scheduled arrival
and departure times.
Participants should: Avoid contaminating others on trip day by staying at home
when suffering from communicable illnesses (e.g., flu, colds, etc.). Avoid
causing allergic or other adverse reactions by not using strong or excessive
fragrances.
